Captain Pirate Man Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I think this would be a FUN theme to explore officially. I don't mean minifigs as the monsters, but actual BIG monsters, bigger than JW. But that franchise has a lot of fun monsters like Godzilla (of course, Mothra, Ghidorah, etc. Plus how cool would it be to see a Lego Godzilla invade our Lego Cities. Has anyone else ever thought about this? Has anyone ever MOC'd a Godzilla? Quote
Borex Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I had tried a godzilla thingie on ideas. Minifigs with minibuilds. I have to look up the link for you if you're interested Quote
Actor Builder Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I think that brick built Godzilla might be fun. Knowing LEGO, it'd probably end up as a molded Godzilla, which would end up too small and drive the price way too high. But it would be cool! Quote
HawkLord Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I've seen a lot of micro builds of cities that would work well with smaller molded figures. You could do Godzilla and friends at maybe the same size as a Star Wars TaunTaun. Quote
Brickr Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I have tried a few times to doc a Godzilla, it always gets to the point for me that to do him justice it would need to be at least two feet tall, and several months in the making, which is too much of an investment for me, I love the idea though, and would live to see some mocs. Yes, exactly. The mini versions just don't do Godzilla justice. He needs to be BIG. Quote
Borex Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 This was my entree https://ideas.lego.com/projects/38048 I do like the idea of a big brickbuild gojira by the way. But i like the idea of minifigs too (especially with the city-skyline architectural sets of nyc and berlin) Quote

It is a nice design, and you clearly know your Kaiju. Quote
Evolved Turtle Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 (edited) I originally planned on making a Godzilla model that was a few feet tall & making a stop motion with it, but I thought about it a bit more and I don't know if I'll have the time or money for that... I have seen quite a few brilliant Godzilla MOCs online that are 2-3 feet tall each. Edited April 6, 2017 by Evolved Turtle Quote
J3D1-T Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 I would have named this something different to LEGO Godzilla, considering it isn't actually a licensed LEGO theme yet if ever. Quote
