KlodsBrik Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 (edited) So as it was Christmas eve yesterday all my wished came through. Now i own 2 of each Doctor Who sets released so far from TLG. This started a nostalgic journey today catching up on this years season of Doctor Who. I still havent watched the twelth episode as im saving it for tomorrow to watch before the christmas special. So no spoilers please ! Anyhow. Few know that i before my dark age was yet another Whovian FOL who fought for LEGO to release Doctor Who LEGO. Many of you might have seen some of these builds that i made from between 2010 and 2013 before i hitted yet another dark age. At that time i had all my pictures uploaded on a personal webhosting site, but i deleted it along with some accounts i had across the internet. So many of these cant be found no longer. I feel its time to share them yet again with the public for nostalgic reasons. My first idea for CUUSOO which offcourse was dismissed along with every other Doctor Who build there as they rewrote their rules. Since MB i think, had the copyrights for Doctor Who at that time all ideas for DW was deleted. Now some pictures i have recovered of Doctor Who builds ive made throughout time. Now you know my name ! Area 52. Stolen Planets: TARDIS Interior: 11th hour: Demons Run: Little blue book: Doctor Who logo: Just some of what ive refound so far. I will post more pictures or even repost the builds by request. But for now this is just a trip down memorylane thinking of what fans can achieve if were pursistent and keep fighting to get what we want LEGO to build. It actually can happen. Now im gonna watch some more Doctor Who as that is usually what i do during the holidays menawhile building LEGO Merry Christmas to all of you here on EB, my beloved board Edited December 28, 2015 by KlodsBrik Quote
Tariq j Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Very good mate! The book is excellent, as are the other builds. Quote
KlodsBrik Posted December 25, 2015 Author Posted December 25, 2015 (edited) Love the book. Very good mate! The book is excellent, as are the other builds. Thanks. The book is also one of my favorite builds along with an DW Comic we made back in the days. Lets kill Hitler was an awesome episode that lead towards some brilliant spins with this series. I just had to build the book !!!! A few more Doctor Who builds: Perfect prison: The Beast Below: I had to edit and add: In bed above were deep asleep While greater love lies further deep. This dream must end, the world must know, We all depend on the Beast Below ! Do you remember: And more to come. Some say that its a shame that some fans buys several sets of the new Doctor Who sets, leaving those unfortunate not to be able to get them yet, without a chance to get any due to the fact that they might be sold out. However, look at it this way. The more Doctor Who that is sold, the bigger a chance for more new Doctor Who sets in the future along with the chance for releases. Just be patient my dear fellow Whovians. Once again happy holidays, merry christmas or whatever the heck youre celebrating. KlodsBrik ! Edited December 29, 2015 by KlodsBrik Quote
Jared Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Wow, I remember so many of these! So glad you were able to find them too, that 'train entering the pyramids' one is my absolute favourite and I've been searching for it everywhere! Please keep posting more!! Quote
LEGODalekbuster523 Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 (edited) I don't think it's right at all that people have been buying two Ideas sets. Think of all the young kids you may have disadvantaged who wanted the set for Christmas but didn't receive it because places sold out. Is it really worth upsetting children just so you can have one with the TARDIS attached to the interior and another just the TARDIS exterior? I'm glad LEGO eventually started limiting people to one set. I think every retailer should follow suit with hugely popular sets. Edited December 27, 2015 by LEGODalekbuster523 Quote

I'm glad LEGO eventually started limiting people to one set. I think every retailer should follow suit with hugely popular sets. I understand where you're coming from, I really do, but FWIW I don't think they're going to make a set, predetermined number of copies. Rather, I suspect the early sales of the set will determine how many copies they produce in a run, and how long they'll keep the set active. In other words, the more copies they sell now, the more copies there will eventually be by the time they discontinue it. Perhaps it'll be different near the end of the run, but for now, I think additional purchases sold to folks like KlodsBrik won't keep anyone else from getting one. Moreover, this set and the LEGO Dimensions packs are just the beginning. The better they sell, the likelier it is they'll turn Doctor Who into a full-blown theme with lots more sets. Quote
KlodsBrik Posted December 28, 2015 Author Posted December 28, 2015 (edited) Is it really worth upsetting children just so you can have one with the TARDIS attached to the interior and another just the TARDIS exterior? I'm glad LEGO eventually started limiting people to one set. I think every retailer should follow suit with hugely popular sets. I can mention several reasons why i should buy even more sets. But first of all the LEGO Shop in Denmark Copenhagen had a lot on stock as DW isnt very well known here. However i dont see the problem. First of all, not much one can do with only one weeping angel. I would buy several more sets if i had the money. Second, i will have one set on display, and the other will be used for My Own Creations. First of all need to make the TARDIS smaller. Third, the more sonic screwdriwers i can get the better. You know very well how many Doctors there is, and each would need a screwdriver, even if its the same. Fourth, i would even buy a set and never open it, but just save it for my sisters son till, when hes old enough to watch Doctor Who, and im pretty sure he would like it. Finally i wouldnt have any problems stocking up as many DW sets as possible just to sell them cheaper if they at some point should begin to be sold at a rediciolus pricetag. Just to mess with those that use the "small" number of sets released to gain on it lateron. However, as i mentioned above, thats not gonna happen because the more DW sets sold, the bigger a chance that more sets will be released from TLG. Actually i feel that im doing the DW brand a favor buying as much DW as i can afford. If all fans thought as you and "only" got one copy, their might not be more Doctor Who LEGO in the future. You have to remember that it have to sell well all over the world in order for us to get more. Moreover, this set and the LEGO Dimensions packs are just the beginning. The better they sell, the likelier it is they'll turn Doctor Who into a full-blown theme with lots more sets. My point exactly. Wow, I remember so many of these! So glad you were able to find them too, that 'train entering the pyramids' one is my absolute favourite and I've been searching for it everywhere! Please keep posting more!! Oh and i will .... Im in the process of going through some 6 external harddrives looking for all my old MOC´s. Its taking up all my time unfortunately. Havent had much time to build. Now a few more builds i found. While these are not representing scenes from the DW series, they were build inspired by Doctor Who. Fear the Shadows: The pit: ( Two pictures, as i made different setups, but the build is more or less the same. ) And indeed more to come as i come across more of the Doctor Who MOC´s ive made. I know there is still quite a few. Comments on the builds are more than welcome. KlodsBrik Edited December 28, 2015 by KlodsBrik Quote
The Brick King Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 These are, to qoute the ninth version of a certain Time Lord, FanTAStic! Can't wait to see more! Hmm, can't seem to place which episode The Pit is from. Care to elaborate? Quote
LegoPercyJ Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 These builds are really neat! The book is very well done, as is the pit, and I like the bookshelfes in Fear the Shadows. Can't wait to see more! Quote
KlodsBrik Posted December 29, 2015 Author Posted December 29, 2015 These are, to qoute the ninth version of a certain Time Lord, FanTAStic! Can't wait to see more! Hmm, can't seem to place which episode The Pit is from. Care to elaborate? The pit is just a spinoff that was inspired from Doctor Who. I made ( or started to make a Doctor Who Comic ) but it was unfortunately so time consuming that we only made some 5 episodes. When i find it again, i will post at least the intro here just to give an idea of what "the pit" is all about. And thanks for the FanTAstic feedback !! These builds are really neat! The book is very well done, as is the pit, and I like the bookshelfes in Fear the Shadows. Can't wait to see more! Thanks Percy, i always enjoy that you take time to give people feedback on their builds. Its very much appreciated indeed ! Sorry, havent yet found more builds. Cleaning up all the "spam" while im looking through the harddisks. PITA that ive just saved every picture instead of deleting those i knew i would never use anyway. But ..... More to come ! Quote
KlodsBrik Posted January 6, 2016 Author Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) I know this is picture heavy, and i know that it probably could be viewed as belonging to the Media forum. However this is not about reposting all this stuff i did in the past for now. I might post it lateron in the other forum when i refind it all. It was just that i promised to explain what "the pit" was about. I also should have a teaser somewhere but i just cant find it, as well as more of the episodes of the DW comic i made. Hopefully they will show up at some point. And i will post it in the proper forum if anyone is interested. But this was the intro, and im sure you can imagine why their is holes in the ground now, looking at "the pit". Again, this is not about posting the comic ive made here in licensed. If i eventually find all the other episodes i will post it in the proper forum. Its more about putting all my former Doctor Who builds into the same post. Please let me know if im all out of context. But this is what "the pit" was about back in the days ... This comic and these builds was insanely fun to work with however very time consuming so we only made some 5 episodes including the teaser. comment as usual. And more to come. Sorry about the prepost. Edit: Just found another MOC as well. This was also one of my first shots at using editing software. And as you can se i werent that good at it. Teselecta everyone. More to come. Edited January 6, 2016 by KlodsBrik Quote

mediumsnowman Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 I'm not overly familiar with Doctor Who, but this is a great series of MOC's. Judging by others reactions they are very accurate. Gotten 2 Cyberman packs yet? Quote
KlodsBrik Posted January 24, 2016 Author Posted January 24, 2016 (edited) Man, these just get better and better. Thanks mate. Unfortunately i havent found any new for you.
