Jurss Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Not shure about B model, but A should be garden tractor. B could be simple lawn mover. I'm also thinking about some dragster. Some teaser picture Quote
Thirdwigg Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Fun. Can you scale it up at all to add some more functions? Quote
NXT45 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 (edited) Interesting! You have the fake engine mounted properly! You might just want to put it back 1 or 2 studs. Take a look at this. The hood connects to the chassis on the bottom right of the photo. Note: Not my photo. Edited December 2, 2015 by NXT45 Quote
muffinbrick Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Nice one. You still have planty of room to make it bigger with more functions. Or switch it to B-model, add some parts and make different A-model Quote
Jurss Posted December 3, 2015 Author Posted December 3, 2015 Fun. Can you scale it up at all to add some more functions? What else besides:- steering- working motor- working blades- suspended seat?Yes, i wanted to make the mover system risable in transport position, but then tractor wont be so tiny and nice anymore :) most probably will run in some other problems. Interesting! You have the fake engine mounted properly! That was the idea. You might just want to put it back 1 or 2 studs. Note: Not my photo. Almost impossible, because of steering mechanism. In additions to this, there will be trailer with risable bucket. Maybe there will be plough also. I have some space left. Quote
Jim Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Fun. Can you scale it up at all to add some more functions? Actually I do appreciate an entry that's not pushing the limits. If the B-model kicks butt you have a really nice entry. (unfortunately the majority of the voters seems to think that bigger is better, but you never know) Quote
JamesJT Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Looking good already, I bet it will get better as it evolves (like your mini super car did). How big is this model? Would your supercar have fit in TC9? Quote
Jurss Posted December 3, 2015 Author Posted December 3, 2015 Tractor is finished allready yesterday. I just have to take good pictures. Now i'm working on trailer. Tractor is about 15x15x20 HxWxL. With trailer it will be some 35 L. Supercar definetly should fit, but it is allready "harmed" by this contest. Quote
zweihander Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Looking good, a very cute model. I especially like the chain driven blades. One question though: Doesn't the blade hit the wheel when turning? Quote
MajklSpajkl Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Nice midel, is it possible to gear up the mower and fake engine? Quote
MaxSupercars Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 (edited) Cute funny model. I like the chain in driveline, steering and suspended seat. Gear up the mower and use smaller blades... :) Max Edited December 3, 2015 by MaxSupercars Quote
JamesJT Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 The suspended seat is a nice touch. I would also like to see the blades move faster. Quote
Jurss Posted December 3, 2015 Author Posted December 3, 2015 Nice midel, is it possible to gear up the mower and fake engine? Yes, it is. Good that You reminded me, i was planning to do this Cute funny model. I like the chain in driveline, steering and suspended seat. Gear up the mower and use smaller blades... :) Max I don't know, if smaller blades will look better, because then that blade mechanism will be too narrow. Maybe i'll manage to move blade mechanism by one stud back. Yes, there are some conflict between blades and front wheels when turning. Quote
Dafgek81 Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 I like this very much, so many functions in such a small model. Very well done. Quote
Jurss Posted December 4, 2015 Author Posted December 4, 2015 Thank You! Good, that somebody understands. Some more gear-up. There is one more possibility for gear up, but then theres again possibility for conflict between blades and front wheels when steering. Now that is also solved. Some leftovers from building process Quote
Dafgek81 Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Wouldn't it be nicer to use a propeller part of an airplane? Or the fan part used on the 8265 loader Quote
Jurss Posted December 4, 2015 Author Posted December 4, 2015 First idea was to use propellers, and as a B model create something flying. But theres one problem - there fit only half stud. One full stud is too much, then tractor stands on those blades. Quote
Jurss Posted December 5, 2015 Author Posted December 5, 2015 Made a trailer and plough Dimensions now 38x15x12=6840 Quote
MajklSpajkl Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 I love it! The trailer is a really good addition. I guess in winter you really could plough snow and trim your lawn simoultaneously :-P Really nice entry! I am still waiting for a kick (in the head) for me to start :-( Quote
muffinbrick Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 This one grows nicely. It has great amount of functions in such a small shape. And appearance is also very nice and authentic. When you manage to nail B-model, it'll be one of the favourites for me(well, it also depends on entries, which we hasn't seen yet, contest is just on the begining). Quote
Jurss Posted December 6, 2015 Author Posted December 6, 2015 You can plough away trimmed grass In fact, blade mechanism and plough is easy to detach. Yes, there stays some "ugly" connector ends. Plough is connected to 2 crossaxle ends, blade mechanism to 4 pegs, from which 2 stays at chassis. This last i could try to rebuild so, that nothing stays. By the rules i just have to leave everything connected. I'll take some pictures in the evening. Quote
Dafgek81 Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Any chance on instructions? Nice little thing to maybe build one day or in-between projects. Quote
