I trid the Hobson it does NOT work with any sort of force or well anything I put a motor to one end and one of those tiny pumps on the other the Hobson stopped working about 5 second in

As I said, it can actually handle moderate torque, although that certainly requires proper bracing of the supports.

Ok. I have a correction to make to my earlier post,with the help of sariels gear calculator, with a 5:1 ratio, a 40 tooth gear driving an 8 tooth, and fresh batteries my hobson coupling is turning at 1360 rpms. I've grinding corkboard with it now. This drink coaster will be gone in no time.
