Perhaps this topic should be renamed "What to do if you want to be banned". Still got a belly ache from laughing after reading the shouting post by Phes. Hilarious thread!!! :-D

It started with a good question though, I ran into the same problem once or twice. I try to read every post in a topic, but some topics have been around for a while and gotten really long. Guess it's ok to skip a few pages here and there X-D

8-| uh-oh folks! He reminds me of me when I first started posting. Buckshot, you wouldn't happen to think underwear is hilarious, would you? I did the same thing with explaining I was joking after each joke and I was also enamored of Phes. I learned eventually...about the jokes, that is. A simple ;-) or :-D or :-P or sometimes *wacko* or even :-$ and don't forget X-D or combinations 8-| :-D :-D :-D :-P See? Those all explain you mean a joke.

On a serious note, your parents bought you a megablocks helicopter? :'-( How many years of therapy did it take to recover? 8-|

I'll probably keep explaining I'm joking until it gets well established that generally I'm full of it. Instead of people asking "Wait, is he serious?", they should say "Oh, that guy--yeah, he's full of it. Don't mind him. We all think he's brain-damaged." ;-)

And yes, the megabloks helicopter is a true story. I remember the day...the sun was shining, birds were singing...I picked up a neatly-wrapped present whilst everyone else was enjoying the cake...I shook the present, hearing that delightful jingle-jangle of bagged plastic pieces...the wrapping came off quickly, and my initial response was a gasp--I didn't even know that Lego had made a helicopter set! Then, realization set in...it wasn't Lego! Nooooooooo! Still, I was raised to be polite...so I managed a weak smile and said "Thanks!" while fighting the rising bile in my throat...I wanted to smash the cake with the offensive box and scream "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!?!?"

And then I remembered that you shouldn't take life too seriously, so I went off later that day and bought some Legos for myself.

This thread started with a good question, and then evolved into a pile of laughs. :-D :-D I've gotten Megablock for presents before, mainly for display purposes (displaying the set, not the gift-wrapped present). Now it's all stuffed in a container, in need of being sold. No one's buying. :-| :-P

Me too X-O . I have a container of all Megablock, Tyco and other non-LEGO simil-LEGO bricks, and need to decide what to do with them. You know, my father travelled a lot, and could not resist in front of some sets, but he doesn't seem to understand they're way worse then the REAL thing |-/ :-P . On the other hand, he is the one who helps me with some big MOCs (will post something soon) and who puts in some cash, from time to time *wub* ;-)
