Lamanda2 Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Hello everybody, I have been making alot of official decal designs lately, (Actually, I started in the begining of Summer, been an on/off thing.) and since just yesterday I upgraded my Flickr account to Pro, I have decided to store my decals there rather than Brickkshelf, due to uploading time, the site going down, and time for things to go public. So far, I've gotten many designs up, some a few months old, some just fresh and new. Here are some links for you all: -Castle- -Ninja- -Western/Cowboy- -Oriental- -Pirate- -Space- -Star Wars- -Town- -Shields- -Faces- You can also view the whole collection here. If you have any suggestions for different colors, or if there is a certain official design you think I should give a try, just let me know by PM (Don't want this to turn into a request thread.) and I may try it out. If it's a whole new official design you want me to tackle, please send me a picture of the figure from this site. Please do not alter these designs, especially if you plan to pass them off as your own. If you use any of these decals, please give a little mention of credit. I looked around a bit, and I think this would be the correct forum placement for this topic, if it isn't, I'm sorry about that, this just seemed the only proper place to me. Enjoy the decals! ~Amanda Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted October 10, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted October 10, 2007 Nice job as always Amanda !!! Mr. Tiber will have some work adding those pirate decals to The Great Pirate Torso Library. Quote
SirNadroj Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Great job! *y* I love that Indy face! *wub* Quote
Asuka Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Cool work, I especially like that female Town one, although I think it would fit very nice into the Adventurers theme as well. And your two-gun Westerner.... lovely! *wub* And these wood/metal shields without the skull emblem Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Very nice job with the shields and the castle torsos. Quote
Starwars4J Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 Hey Amanda, thanks for posting this here! Great job as always, they all look so useful, though by far my favorites are your oriental designs *wub* though the shield designs come in a close second *y* The best part about these would be a cheap way to increase the female population of almost any theme :-D When trying to make female figs it gets pretty annoying at the complete lack of diversity for female torsos... Anyway, thanks for sharing and I hope you post more customs around here. Quote
Lamanda2 Posted October 11, 2007 Author Posted October 11, 2007 Thanks, guys! "Mr. Tiber will have some work adding those pirate decals to The Great Pirate Torso Library." :-) I'm happy they will be added to the library, hopefully they will get good use. "I love that Indy face!" Thanks. When I saw the first picture of Indy I made that decal straight away, and successfully forgot to upload it until now. "Cool work, I especially like that female Town one, although I think it would fit very nice into the Adventurers theme as well." Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure that was an Adventurer torso. (I should probably make a category for Adventurer, rather than the oriental.) "And these wood/metal shields without the skull emblem Quote

Hewman Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Hi Amanda How do you get them to minifig size for printing? Matt Quote
Vader Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Beautiful decals you have there *y* , will you be doing any other custom designs? Quote
Lamanda2 Posted October 20, 2007 Author Posted October 20, 2007 "Hi Amanda How do you get them to minifig size for printing?" Hello, When I am going to print off some of my decals, I open it up in The GIMP (Free-photoediting program (I've heard of others using other things, such as Word)), and set the print size to that of a LEGO Torso. I believe the height I set it to is 0.61 in. but I am not 100% sure, MCN is down at the moment, so I can't get in to check it in the template section. "Beautiful decals you have there , will you be doing any other custom designs?" I should be doing some more. Since creating this topic, I have been adding a few new things here and there, but these past few days I'm kinda slacking. Thanks for the comments everybody. ~Amanda Quote
