Cutting Rigid Hose

Does anyone here know of any sets that in the instructions ask you to cut 3mm rigid hose? I know that old Technic sets asked you to cut 4mm pneumatic hose, but was it the same way with 3mm ever?

Maybe one of the people who has been in the hobby longer than I have could answer this.

There definedly were sets where you had to cut the flex tube, I had one that was a yellow truck with a crane on it, and you had to cut it to make the alternate built which was a harbour crane.
