Spare bags in sets

Has anyone ever had the pleasure of getting two polybags of the same parts in the same box before? For instance i got Vladeks Dark Fortress for Xmas and i got a spare bag of mainly minifig parts ( :-$ ) Has this happened to anyone in here before?

Nope. I did get some spare sticker sheets a long time ago. They were generic Octan ones too, so they were welcome.

Nope, never got a spare bag of parts. Once, though, I got a wrong bag of parts in a helicopter set. I think the wrong parts came from a Harry Potter set.

Never did get to finish putting that helicopter together... :'-(

Yes, several times. Recently I got an extra bag of beams with my 8288 crane! *sweet*

Reports indicate that early #'d UCS Falcons have a bag of extra wings, so I probably have those.

Beyond that, it's always just been a bit here or there, some better than others. Had a spare Royal Guard torso once, for example.

I do, however, usually get a lot of extra parts in eBay orders. Last time it was "Oh, I found these and thought you'd like them" which translated to a free Hoth Harry, a Jedi Luke, a Tatooine Luke, a Dr. Kilroy, and someone else in a $15 order that was already worth a lot more than that. No complaints there.

wow, i didn't know this happened... i've only NOT gotten stuff in sealed sets... like my sticker sheet for 7775 |-/ but this gives me hopes for some free stuff someday, to make me and LEGO even >:-)

Wow. I've never had extra bags before. I've heard that the UCS Falcon does, though.

i got an extra bag of 2x4 sloped plates in the UCS MF. other than that i got a duplicate bag in the king's seige castle containing the silver visor and 2 kite shields and 2 round shields but was missing another small bag to complete the set. needless to say a quick call to customer service got me the missing parts, so i ended up with the extra visor and 4 extra shields. :-P i *wub* *wub* packaging gaffs.

They've sent me double orders twice now. So I refuse the second one and then they refund my credit card, so I call and explain to them that I wasn't returning the order, I was refusing the re-delivery and they're very thankful that I saved them the money. I don't mind doing this because I want my favorite company to make money so it can stay in business. Obviously, one Bikini Bottom wouldn't make or break them, but I assume this happens more than once. But, next time they do it, I'm not sure I have the time to go to the trouble...

I've never gotten any extra parts (drat!), but I've never had a set that lacked peices... Bound to come up some time or another, though.

Yes. I got a bag like that in my Dark Fortress too. It had the knight's armor (not that I needed any more of those silly parts) and the striped shields and some other parts in it.

... while someone else hundreds of miles away was opening their set at the exact same moment, and discovering that theirs is missing a polybag of mainly minifig parts. ;-)

But no, I don't think it's ever happened to me though. I have had a few instances of some 'odd' choices for spare parts, including some that aren't even featured in the set. *wacko*

Yea thats exactly what i got. It also had a few spears (quite a few actually) and axes so now when i get a new set w/ spears or axes its quite obnoxious... :-P

I seem to always get the visor thing for helmets ex: got an extra b-wing pilot helmet, and any set that has those goggle/glasses thing I have gotten extras.

I also had about a million technic pins left over when i finished my 6211 star destroyer

I got one time an extra new dark gray trouser in a Harry P. Set. But I had in the studio Vampire set a black tile 1x6 not, but that wasn't bad because I had a spare part, which it replaced.

Well,a side form the usual 'spare parts' (levers, studs, technic pins etc.) I did get this head in one of my KK sets, Mistlands Tower I think it was.

Strange, huh? The weird thing is, so did dragonator. 8-

Thats pretty wierd iamded. I dont understand why that head would be in there. Maybe its like the spare fleshie head in The ucs MF (i mean MELINIUM FALCON potty mouths ;-) )

Me and my brother got a lot of spare parts, especially minifig parts, in Vladek's Dark Fortress too. Maybe they just put a whole bunch of spare parts in that set :)
