Siegfried Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 That is a just perfect scene! *wub* Great find. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted October 9, 2007 Governor Posted October 9, 2007 Does anyone know how to contact Jcasterman? This MOC is worthy of frontpaging on Classic-Pirates.com! Quote
Asuka Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 A lovely work full of nice and charming details, thanks for that find, Captain green hair! *y* It Quote
Shadows Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Absolutely beautiful, great find! Someone really does need to contact this builder and get them over here if they aren't already. Looking at their other work you get a very professional, well polished feeling from the planning, construction and all the way through the photography. English Pirate Port On! *y* Quote
Joey Lock Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 I saw that ship a while ago actually its a nice cosy pirate harbor. I reminds me alot of the port of Tortuga on the online pirate game Voyage Century. Its nice *sweet* Quote
Hinckley Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Great find Captain! Thanks for sharing. *sweet* *y* This is a smart little layout. It would be great to see LEGO produce a modular village for Pirates or Castle that could achieve this effect... Quote
El Bucanero Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Great find and thanks for bringing this to our attention! The tudor style buildings are a very nice change from the white and yellow millitary buildings. I gotta love those details, like the cart, all those crate, and especially the shark-fishing pirate! :-P I wonder why this isn't discussed? Where not all as fast as you Green hair! :-D Quote
Capn Frank Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 Great find Cap'n! *y* Added this baby to the Land-based MOCs Index. I *wub* it! P Quote
jamtf Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 I saw this a few days ago but forgot to bring it up as I thought this had been found already. Not, so it seems. Oh well, maybe next time. And I have to agree, excellent harbor scenery with nice detail. Quote
Captain K. Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 that looks very good. a little like a pirates village in old Europe. and very beautiful details good I find it. Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted October 9, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted October 9, 2007 (edited) Holy cow! This is just fan-megablocking-tastic!!! This is most certainly worth the front page of Classic Pirates. But maybe it is better to wait until the new contest has been headlined. Too much great pirate news... what a luxury. Great find Cap'n !! EDIT: The creator is a member on CC, but he hasn't posted there since 2003. I'll leave him a PM anyway. Edited October 9, 2007 by Bonaparte Quote
Norro Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Ohh, ahh, really evokes the feel of Lego's comic! Nice find! I like the mix of architecture and tapered design. God Bless, Nathan Quote

SirNadroj Posted October 11, 2007 Posted October 11, 2007 I've seen this before. An incredible MOC. I feel that it's unique because not many people do harbours in that tudor-style. It's superb! *wub* Quote
Raster Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 (edited) Hi there!!! My name is John (jcrasterman is my nick)... I'm the builder of "The Black Anchor" It's very nice to see that you like The Black Anchor... I'm very proud of it. Sorry about my poor english, I will do my best. So, my name is John and I came from Spain. I'm a Lego fan since 1975 (the year of my birth *sweet* ), and after my "dark ages", I return as an AFOL since 2000... In the past I have build some castle and train scenes, as you can see in my brickshelf gallery. I have never done any pirates MOC until now, but I love this theme too... I'm member of the spanish Lego user group (Hispalug), where I post this scene for the first time. You can see the post here (sorry spanish only, but If you like, I could make some translation, hope good enough)... I have been "out of lego" world the last 3 years, but now I have return again with new "strong". Now I'm working on a new diorama (castle theme this time :-( ), but I have spend so nice time in the build of "The Black Anchor", that I'm sure I will done other Pirate's diorame soon... I will post here too... many thanks for your feedback... Raster Edited October 14, 2007 by Raster Quote

ZeekyBoogeyDoog Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 Welcome to Eurobricks, Raster! Very awesome port X-O ! The tavern and lighthouse are my favorite. Quote
Siegfried Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Hi there!!! Thanks for joining Eurbricks. If your new castle diorama is as good as this one it will be worth the wait! *wub* I like your Santiagos Gate castle. I'm a Lego fan since 1975 (the year of my birth *sweet* ) You're about the same age as me! *sweet* (Your English is great too!) Quote
Col. Whipstick Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 Now that thing looks hot! Given the Tudor architecture it would have to be an early English colony, circa John Smith of Virginia, Jamestown deal. It also looks very neat, the more cramped building and dockyards might imply the English hadn't worked out that it wasn't the Plymouth dockyards anymore and now they're in the New World they can build out a bit and there's time to breathe :-P But someone must have put a lot of work into it.
