Hi everyone

I figured that this topic might stir up some interest, due to the fact that many people in here have Flickr accounts, and in a desperate search for help or any kind of advice... so here goes:

Last month i was logged out of my Flickr account by an accident that was generated by my computer. No harm really, or so i thought.. But it turned out to be a rather big issue.

As the most of you know, Yahoo and Flickr are connected when creating an account. When i created my Yahoo account, i did so, to gain access to Flickr.. I have been auto-logged in to my Flickr account for a long period of time, but when i was logged of my Flickr i was notified by Yahoo that they had deleted my account due to INACTIVITY

Oh god, so by inactivity they mean that i haven't used my Yahoo account for more than 12 months. That may be correct! But using my Flickr everyday for the last 12 months, doesn't count as being logged in to Yahoo (Which supposedly should be the same account) ? I guess it doesn't, because what followed up turned out to be one giant hassle, which I'm afraid isn't over just yet..

The first thing the Yahoo robots tell you to do, is to create a new account and reload all my pictures. Terrible thing to think about, and wouldn't solve the problem.. By reading other forums with people who have experienced the same problem, i learned that it is actually possible to resurrect your old account. And my Flickr still exists, i just can't gain access to it

After several email to the customer service (which was hidden VERY well in the Yahoo-jungle) i finally learned that they were unable to understand my problem. It was like talking to a wall… The problem i am experiencing is not even addressed in their FAQ/help section..

And i am guessing that this might be a problem that several people have had, before me

So, is there anything to do? Besides sitting here and waiting for a qualified answer from Yahoo, which might never happen. They stopped answering me last week, and i have sent them 3 new mails since then..

I hope that this might be the right place to seek some answers, and i hope that none of you have to experience the same issue.. Ever..!

Kind Regards

(Fingers crossed)

Wow! I don't have a huge photo library, but I can only imagine the problem of recreating the account.

Keep us informed of your plight, it may help others of us.

I guess the answer for the rest of us is to use both the email as well as the Flickr account on a regular basis.

Much good luck...
