Indiana Jones: What are your expectations?

With the new Indy sets arriving (not fast enough, I agree :-) ), I was thinking it would not be a bad idea to create a topic in order to discuss our expectations for this new line. By that, I mean "Which minifigs and sets would you like to see?" but also "which scene(s) will, according to you, certainly be turned into a Lego set?"

I know, some of you have already given their opinion on the matter in the thread on the items pics but I'm not sure that that topic is suitable for such questions as everyone is commenting a bit on everything. So I thought this new topic could be a good occasion to share our opinions on the upcoming Indy line (both the sets you dream of and those you think the TLC might release) rather than commenting a bit on everything. In other words, let's make it clear and let's reduce our attention to the sets themselves rather than to your opinions and questions about the films, or whatever...

Now, as far as I'm concerned, I guess the two sets I would really like to see are Belloch's car from Raiders, and Donovan's from Last Crusade. They are a bit similar, but they would be a good opportunity to get all the bad guys in one set. What is more, Belloch's car would be an important addition to the upcoming Desert Pursuit set and Donovan's vehicle would be one of the only sets with which we could possibly get a Donovan minifig, and after all... who does not want to see more WWII vehicles?

The tank from Last Crusade would certainly also be a good set but it wouldn't be that easy to reproduce at a correct minifig scale, I imagine.

Well, for the rest, I give you now the opportunity to give your opinion, otherwise, I'm afraid I would be able to write a whole essay on the matter... :-D

There absolutely needs to be a mine car chase from Temple (look at the Dwarf Mining set to see how the mine cars and parts of the caves could be done), and also a falling bridge set from Temple.

If the Raiders large amazon jungle playset proves successful, I would imagine a similar style set of traps etc set in the grail temple from Last Crusade.

I would also love to see the fight with the German mechanic by the flying-wing aircraft.

allot of trucks,tanks,guns and guys,and lets through ina few cycles to swamp indy and his dad in their little cycle with the sidecar

The part at the start of the last crusade wear indy stole the golden cross and then he jumped on the train and they could have the bit wear he falls into the snake box.

Definitely the bridge scene in the Temple of Doom. we would get Mola Ram, Indy, Willy, Short Round and lots of Thuggee guards. Maybe even british soldiers! :'-)

It would have lots of playability (bridge snaps in half, rafters can break etc), excellent figs and probably a great design.

I want to see a flying wing maybe without the swastika emblems instead just an x not a + an x or nothing at all (meaning no emblems)

that would be so cool with a motorbike a car and a refueling tanker ,mini figs would be:

Something with more details (like walls, kind of details that counts in a room ;-) ) than the old Kenner one and maybe a "light ray" revealing the secret?

Lots of good ideas here.

I think, for Temple, they might perhaps also release the chase in the streets of Shangai. It would include 2 oldstyle cars with roofs (Short Round's one and the black car of the pursuers) as well as one or two elements from the streets... (why not the rickshaw?) and at least six figures (Indy, Willy, Short Round and three Chinese gangsters, including their boss). I think this would really be nice, and the cars could easily be re-used for nazi officers or whatever since it would have a great playability potential.

Yes they definitely make that! :'-) If TLC doesn't make chinese gangsters then I will be forced to whinge about it here! :-D But I think I would prefer a set that is actually the bar ITSELF, so i could get the rolling gong and chinese dancers. (not likely though! :'-( )

Another one that should be made is the opening of the ark ceremony, a good excuse to get Nazis, ghosts, exploding heads (I'm talking to you Sir Nadroj! :-P ) and some good tan desert peices! ;-)

You mean the "Rolls-Royce Phantom two. 4.3 litre, 30 horsepower, six cylinder engine, with Stromberg downdraft carburetor, can go from zero to 100 kilometres an hour in 12.5 seconds." ;-)

It is but I wanted to start a new topic as the older one had been created before the first pics have been revealed (we now know a bit more on the minifigs and other new pieces that could be created).
