Problem with flex pieces - could someone help?

I'm trying to build the new Millennium Falcon in white using LDD, but I can't get the flex piece that represents the engine to flex and attach to the friction peg no matter what I do - flex tool doesn't let me elongate the piece.. How can this be achieved?

Is the part flexible?

Flexible parts are recognizable because they come together the flexible icon in the palette.

Yes it's flexible.

Thanks for the link, that worked (copy paste) but I have no idea how that was done.
