P I'm proud to say that the cannons are my design. The drawbridge is a bit of a lame copy of the one on torre de belem. A fort i really like, it's in the index to, the grey one. (though the white one's nice too) I had a week off, so a lot of time on my hands :-D What do you think of the toilet? Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted September 28, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted September 28, 2007 (edited) What a beauty this MOC. I'm so impressed with how this looks. There's this beautiful fortress and all the scenery outside the fortress. You even made a cave at the beach. I'm planning to make a fortress myself (one day) and this is an excellent source of inspiration. Lovely toilet. But why does he still have his pants on? :-D Completed cloning of links to Fort Esperance into Land-based MOC Index. :) Great job Phred with the indexes. You are really doing that with excellence! Captain Green Hair Posted September 28, 2007 Author Posted September 28, 2007 Lovely toilet. But why does he still have his pants on? Haven't you ever seen the holes in the back of the pants? Didn't you know the meaning of them?? :-D Quote

Asuka Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 A very cool building, an interesting and fine color scheme, a good landscaping and lot of nice details! Impressive and beautiful. *y* And a toilet! Your guards Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 29, 2007 Governor Posted September 29, 2007 I must say this is a rather fine MOC! However the use of grey... Wouldn't it be better if it were all white? Quote
Capn Frank Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 ...Great job Phred with the indexes. You are really doing that with excellence! Thanx B Haven't you ever seen the holes in the back of the pants?Didn't you know the meaning of them?? :-D Now i know why they're there. Thanks for enlightening me Cap'n :-D P Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted September 29, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted September 29, 2007 However the use of grey... Wouldn't it be better if it were all white? Maybe it would. But then again, how many real forts do you know that are white. It look quite authentic with the grey. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 29, 2007 Governor Posted September 29, 2007 (edited) I don't know any forts personally, we seem to have a personality clash. However, my local forts tend to be made of sandstone so they're of an earthly yellow colour: My observation was derived in comparission with the official colour aesthetic of forts in the Pirate theme - I.e. white and yellow, but definitely not that of real life. ZeekyBoogeyDoog Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Very very awesome *y* . The toilet is actually my favorite part of this, its not something commonly seen in pirate mocs. Also high-class women complete with parasols-not commonly seen either. The drawbridge too. I like how everything you make has so much detail. Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted October 1, 2007 Author Posted October 1, 2007 I must say this is a rather fine MOC! However the use of grey... Wouldn't it be better if it were all white? After studying the real forts in the carribean, i discovered that often only the buildings on top were plastered. The walls just left in stone. Look op the battery of cartagena for instance. Tan would also be nice for authentic walls i think........ (maybe when i win the lottery eh? :-D ) I would have liked to do it in all grey, but i ran out of bricks, so maybe i'll downsize it. I want to use the white and yellow for my harbour buildings. *wacko* Love your new signature pic BTW! Very very awesome *y* . The toilet is actually my favorite part of this, its not something commonly seen in pirate mocs. Also high-class women complete with parasols-not commonly seen either. The drawbridge too. I like how everything you make has so much detail. I'venever seen a toilet on a lego fort, however most real forts had one like this. Just a hole in the wall, with a wooden plank. Dumping immediatly into the ocean *sweet* Quote
