Hi

I was wondering if The Lego Group have ever included duplo elements in a Lego Set, or lego elements in a Duplo set

I'm aware that they are somewhat compatible and could be used for certain things which Lego cannot do, such as Shape.

Im also thinking about using the Duplo quarter Pipe elements (two kinds) but so the button is flush with Lego tiles to create a an alien HQ based off of a video game level.

The Lego quarter pipes (two kinds) are either too big. or the buttom cannot be made flush with a tile or anything else.

Regards, Snipe

It's rare, but it does happen. The 2009 Toys 'R' Us Bricktober promo giveaways included four DUPLO elements and two "regular" LEGO "System" elements that were meant to be combined into a single simple build. The ball used for the boulder in the Indiana Jones set 7623 Temple Escape is technically a DUPLO element. I know there are a few others, though I don't remember them all off the top of my head.

The main example I know of is 4094 Motor Movers from 2003. Its tail is a Duplo element, and is attached by a rather unusual technique (plugged into the underside of a 2x2 brick).

That's a very funny coincidence. Prolific builder Karf Oohlu posted this earlier today, and I thought, what kind of piece is that black thing? And the answer pops up here only a few hours later...

That tail is a DUPLO element? I never knew that, and I have 4094 Motor Movers! I remember looking up that parts and another one in the set on Peeron once, and not finding anything other than this one set, so I thought they must have been created specifically for it and never used again.

Bricklink lists it in one previous set, an Explore set from 2002. But the part doesn't appear in the official image, since it's out-of-frame holding up the zip line. The box pic shows it, though!
