Xon67 Posted January 21, 2016 Author Posted January 21, 2016 (edited) I believe she is the surgeon from collectble minifigure series 6. Originally, I didn't understand why she was driving the van, but now it makes more sense. I'm not sure who the guy hanging out the window is... Edited January 21, 2016 by Xon67 Quote
Actor Builder Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 He's obviously a guy who needs surgery. The Surgeon is taking him to the hospital in her red ambulance that may or may not be licensed as an actual ambulance . Duh. Quote
Xon67 Posted January 21, 2016 Author Posted January 21, 2016 You may have just stumbled onto a clue to the story in the sequel. What if it isn't just the Master Builders who went underground to get away from Lord Business? What if there's an entire network of underground activities? These could include unlicensed ambulances, counterfeit Octan products... and dare I say it?... off-brand interlocking brick systems? Oooooooh... It could be a very, very dark story... Quote
Actor Builder Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 That could explain part of the paradox of LEGO Movie exclusive molds. Where did Lord Business get his hair? It wasn't a piece before the movie came out. Was it custom printed by The Man Upstairs? I really want Vitruvius to join some sort of "Council of Fallen Wizards" realm in the Sequel. Dead wizards just hang out there until they are needed, and they take a ghost form of some sort. He could just be chilling drinking coffee with Gandalf, Dumbledore, Majisto, and Yoda. Yes, Yoda would count as a fallen Wizard. He has magic, and has a ghost form. He is a Wizard. We should tweet and email all of our ideas to Phil Lord and Chris Miller. Quote

Nintento is a good example. they refuse to use fan ideas for the off chance they will be sued over copyright isssues... Quote
iang Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Wow, there is some serious detail in this city. Fantastic! Quote

Then we should all tweet what we DON'T want to see. For instance, I don't want to see Metalbeard or Benny die in the sequel. @ChrisMiller, kill of Metalbeard and Benny in TLM2! Quote
Xon67 Posted January 21, 2016 Author Posted January 21, 2016 For the record: It doesn't matter to me what happens or doesn't happen in the sequel, as long as it keeps to the same good character-driven story telling of the first one. Any resemblance of the sequel to anything I say here, real or imagined, is purely coincidental. That being said... Do you think the real reason that we never saw a ghost version of Qui Gon Jin in any Star Wars sequel is that they were really just saving him to appear as a ghost in the LEGO movie sequel? Xon67 Posted January 22, 2016 Author Posted January 22, 2016 (edited) iang--Welcome to Eurobricks! Glad you posted. Chris Miller called it a "crazy mess of details." The more you look, the more you find. I sometimes enjoy just watching characters in the background. They each have their own silly walk or activity that they're doing. ActorBuilder--Those sides are always pesky... Edited January 22, 2016 by Xon67 Quote
mediumsnowman Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 That van is cool! I never even noticed it, let alone it's resemblance to the ambulance, which is a great set by itself. Now, Xon67, I know you have a lot of stuff on your plate, but if you're ever looking for a challenge I'd love to see you take on the Stay Puft from the new Lego Dimensions GB level: There's probably more, better reference pictures somewhere out there. Quote
Actor Builder Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 mediumsnowman, if you're planning to build that in real bricks, it can't yet be done. The finger ball joints don't come in white. There are possibly others, but those stick out as not available. Quote
Xon67 Posted January 23, 2016 Author Posted January 23, 2016 (edited) mediumsnowman--That would look cool next to your Ghostbusters HQ. I think for now, however, that once I finish the Scoob mansion, I'm going to stick to LEGO Movie subjects for a while. I have plenty more to do with this project and working on other themes takes time away from what I'm trying to accomplish here. I don't want to get too distracted from it. Speaking of which, the van in my last post shows up in several places in Bricksburg traffic. It's first seen in the "Hello, city" reveal shot that starts with Emmet on his balcony. The camera passes right over it. It shows up after that many times in traffic in orange and green as well. I have some upcoming renders that will show the Bricksburg vehicles and their various colors. Edited January 23, 2016 by Xon67 Quote

I completely understand. Thanks for at least taking a look at it! Quote
Xon67 Posted January 23, 2016 Author Posted January 23, 2016 There's nothing stopping you from trying it yourself. I find LDD handy for identifying parts and trying different approaches to a build until I find one that works. Once the design is finished in LDD, the real build goes very quickly. Even if all you build is the head, you'd end up with a really cool creation. If you like, I'd be happy to help out with any questions. Let me know! Quote
Actor Builder Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Xon67, I look forward to seeing those vehicles! Quote
Xon67 Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 How many different types of vehicles does it take to create a traffic jam in Bricksburg? Exactly this many! Take these vehicles, duplicate them over and over while changing their colors, and you have yourself a Bricksburg rush hour. The bricks in front of each vehicle identify, to the best of my ability, the various colors in which the vehicles appear in the movie. Quote
Actor Builder Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 That's really cool how you showed the colors! Now who's going to build all of these in real bricks? Quote
miahbrick33 Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 I would love to try and build them, currently trying to sort out the pieces to test and build The Lego Movie logo. Going to hang it from some cranes and see how sound the structure really is... Quote
Xon67 Posted January 28, 2016 Author Posted January 28, 2016 miahbrick33--that would be cool to see! Actor Builder--How about a physical build of a 16 lane Bricksburg highway packed with these vehicles at rush hour, complete with signs and on/off ramps? Quote
Actor Builder Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 And a sound function that plays "Everything is Awesome" nonstop! Quote
MilkPls69 Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Looking trough this thread is amazing! Has anybody made the coffee shop yet though because if not I would love to take a stab at it, Quote
Xon67 Posted February 2, 2016 Author Posted February 2, 2016 Coffee shop? Yup, I've already made it. Just haven't posted it yet. Want me to post that one next? Quote
