jaesroe Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 (edited) Hi Lego train fans! After concluding my the recent collection and building of early 9v trains, ranging from 4558~ 4564, the pleasure and enjoyment of doing Lego train was something different level of fun which I have not felt in other lego set. Since all my trains of early 9vs are all relatively modern design compared to steam locomotive train, which I also have been dreamed of, I decided to build Ben's BR 23 train. i got an well-designed instructions and *txt format brick list, But I WONDER whether I could get a bricklist with images of brick. I found a brick list with parts image at rebrickable.com, however, some of parts are not displayed, such as wheels (not BBB wheels) and tube and 9v train wheels. in order to have a correct part list, it would be great if I could find a clear brick list with parts images if possible. I also wonder what MPD format files? is this a file that could be opened by Lego digital designer? Thank you! p.s I attach my small Lego 9v train town pictures. my thanks to JopieK Edited October 8, 2019 by jaesroe Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 You've to go on railbricks.com and dowload instructions from steam locomotive section Quote
jaesroe Posted August 30, 2015 Author Posted August 30, 2015 You've to go on railbricks.com and dowload instructions from steam locomotive section Thanks for your reply. Yes I already have instruction, but I wonder whether I could get a part list sheet with part images, if possible. Quote
THERIZE Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 For images just google the name of the brick. That's how I do it. Quote
Younge Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Couldn't you create a Wanted List on BrickLink? Most browsers support some kind of "save as" function, so you can list the wanted list in printer mode and save it that way (much cleaner view and would require less editing - if any). Quote
djm Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Thanks for your reply. Yes I already have instruction, but I wonder whether I could get a part list sheet with part images, if possible. One way is to install BrickStock (http://brickstock.patrickbrans.com/). It can import an MPD file and turn it into a part list with pictures. It can also create the XML required for a BrickLink wanted list. If you want it in Excel instead, with images, reply to this message and I can point you to another EuroBricks thread that will enable you to do that. I would recommend using BrickStock though.
