Hello,

I have built the Mercedes Arocs week ago and I think it's the best technic set ever (!!!) and I'm really excited from it...

Marcus Kossmann did not bad job with Arocs, I like the PF and Pneumatic Features, very good made... But Marcus was limited by TLG management and I don't like the front of Lego Arocs very much...

Because I think that Volvo FH16 2015 is one of best looking Trucks nowdays I decided to make fast facelift of Arocs and rebuild the front to newest generation of Volvo FH16 Truck... OK, I know that FH series are Tractor Trucks but sometimes they could be used as construction trucks... but it does not matter... I like simply the front of Volvo FH16 2015...

I made some modifications today and I'm so excited that I must to show you my first result... I will continue with modifications so that's the first version... Maybe you like it... I like the shapes of the LED Daylight Running Lights... they are beautiful on the real truck...

Good job, it's tricky to recreate the shapes on the front of the new FH model. Maybe in later versions you can change it to an FM model because they are used for construction trucks like this.

Yes I know that FM series are construction trucks but they look not so good as FH series... :)

Thank you... I will continue in modifications... I had always prefered the studless only technic models but I see that if I want to make better looking shapes and small details I have to go the way of Model Team a little bit... I want not to use a lot of studded parts and make it as simple and good looking as possible... :)

I'm curious what M_Longer says... because I like his trucks... :D :D :D

Thanx for support... :)

Max... :*

P.S.: Maybe you have seen this very good Volvo trucks commercial... :)

In my opinion the Volvo trucks are some of the worst (looking). I know, I must be crazy :wink:. But you did a really nice job replicating the cab!

Not a fan of Volvo but I could tell straight up it was a Volvo. One suggestion but I'm sure your onto is to find another place for the receiver and motor to smooth out the top and compliment the great front end.As a thought, extend the cabin roof up like the Globetrotter XL and hide them in there. Awesome work. :classic::thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

@Beck:

:D :D :D

Yes the car/truck design is always subjective... :D ...I didn't like the previous Volvo generations much, but this generation looks very good and when I meet this Volvo on the road I let my eyes on it... :)

@jono.rocky:

Don't look at the rest of model now... I wanted just to quick motorize it so I used simple solution... The steering motor will be then hidden at the back of cabin behind the LiPo battery... :)

Thanx for comments... :)

Hi Max,

Your images are way too big. Please use a maximum width of 1024.

And you might want to go easy on the smileys. No need to end every sentence with one...or three.

Thanks

Hi Jim,

which images do you mean? I have added only one with 800x800 resolution... the other are embedded videos...

And with smiles... I mean it so how I feel... I feel happy so I use smiles... :)

I have changed two of your images to links (image1 and image2). If you click on them, you can see they are way bigger than 800.

I like smileys too. But don't overdo it.
