turk187 Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 So, I've wanted to make a lego steam punk pirate ship for awhile and thought the best way to start was simply to buy a second Lego sea cow. I went ahead and assembled the sea cow as soon as I got it and then started ordering parts. I've just started my Modding by adding 3 more hull sections to stretch out the ship to a better length. I've got lots of plans about what I want to do. Updates as I progress. Suggestions? Comments welcome. Quote
Eggyslav Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 (edited) I made Sea Cow in LDD, then modded it into a steampunk dirigible, But if you plan on making a regular seafaring ship, I would suggest to remake the top of the aft, so it won't be a big chair for metalbeard, but rather make it an observation deck. Also, I'd place the helm there, or in front of the chandelier cabin. And, since you elongated the ship, there should be two pairs of water-wheel-propeller thingamajigs, at least. Also, shouldn't it be posted in Sci-Fi forum? That's the place for Steampunk MOCs... Edited August 20, 2015 by Eggyslav Quote
Cousarmy0001 Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 I suggest lots of goggles, leather jackets and gloves, and a great many large cannons, that will likely have to be brick built, because they'll need breeches, as well as traverse and elevation mechanisms. Quote
langezwieper Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 Just wondering, any update on this project ;)? Quote
iammac Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Why don't you make some kind of mechanical rowing system to fill in those three inserted hull pieces? Quote
