john cleese Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 (edited) well its too colorful, but im sure you realize that and its due to a lack of pieces right? Also add some doors. Other than that it looks alright. EDIT: Except the megabloks! Never use those. Edited September 16, 2007 by john cleese Quote
Hinckley Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Hi Doug! Welcome to Eurobricks! *sweet* *y* Thanks so much for sharing your creation with us! I think posting your creations for other people to comment on is a great way to grow as a builder. You have a great model here. I like all the detail and thought you put into the interior. Everyone needs a hot tub! Very clever use of pieces for the office and the kitchen. I do like it. I would try to get my hands on some LEGO doors and windows, IMO, they look better. I am a purist so I am against the use of imitation brands, but work with what you have. Of course, I also think it would be nice to re-do it someday in one color. But great job, otherwise. Again welcome to our friendly community and thanks for sharing! :-) Quote

Stauder Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 The details are nice, all it needs is a paint job and a furnace to brun megablocks in :-P X-D . Still better than any Iv"e built so far... Hmmm... Why do I only build veichles? Time to built a house! Stauder ;-) Quote
Batbrick Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Hinckley You are so flippin awesome!!!!! Dude you are one of my favorite eurobrick members! Thank you so much for commenting! :'-) :'-) ___________ Ooooh! Oooooh! What about me? Am I cool too? *sweet* No? X-O |-/ ! :-D Anyway, the outside of the house is pretty good, definitely gives it a colourful look that can distinguish it. However, the interior is very well designed, the use of rather ordinary peices to create household appliances is extremely effective and I tip my hat to you! ;-) I also like the car. :-) Thank you very much for showing us your creation, hope to see you again! *sweet* Batbrick Away! >:-) Quote
Shadows Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 A large and detailed effort. Barring what's been said previously about colours and such, I'll stick to what I really like. Appliances and accessories. Nice job putting in some of the things we all use daily and tend to ignore. I get the impression you're working within your collection, which can be a lot more challenging than just planning something and ordering parts by the ton from Bricklink, and I think you've done a good job of using some things in unexpected ways that still create the desired effect. Very nice job, be sure to update us when you update your work and more than anything, just keep building! *y* Quote
DB24 Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Hi doug, overall its a nice house! I love the interior and various fittings (coffee machine, TV *wub* etc). Colours are a bit bright though :-/ . Its great of you to share your creations, good onya *y* Quote
Asuka Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 A very nice work in a sunny color scheme with a really great and detailed interior! *y* Relaxing in the whirlpool after doing the laundry on! :-) Quote
alex54 Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Always good to see MOCs from other people! Like many of us here, I like the details from the interior, well done! Maybe add more windows to your house... Quote
Doctor Sinister Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 I love the interior, some great ideas there, very colourful though - but that's not a criticism, at least your sig-fig won't go into the wrong house. :-D Can my sig-fig come around and watch that huge TV? Dr. S. Quote
Corvus Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 It looks to me like the over-brightness is due to the camera. I think it'd look just fine in person. Love the Kitchen, very detailed. The whole place is pretty good, too. I prefer an open roof, as well. It's much easier to position things around, and play with it. X-D Hinckley You are so flippin awesome!!!!! Dude you are one of my favorite eurobrick members! Thank you so much for commenting! Who doesn't love Hinckley? X-D Quote
