I found this on the Brickpedia page dedicated to Legends of Chima.

Does anyone have any source for this claim? *huh*

I went through the page history, and found that the person who added it also said, "In Greece is heard that Lego renewed Chima for 2 more years,but farther information are still unknown," at the same time, but that was removed while this other note stayed....

The editor's userpage says that he is from Greece, so maybe it is something he has observed, but my guess is that it was just made up.
