Itaria No Shintaku Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Yeah, those two things are false. We already know that the dark green helmet will be in a ninjago set. There goes the chances for a zombie football player. Now I don't see why they would reuse the clock work robot head. From what I've been told "the laser robot is awesome, and you'll have to see it for yourself." I expect a lot of transparent pieces for this robot. Quote
davidmull Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Is it really always this late for official images? Quote
BricksrDamian2 Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 It would be awesome to get a NFL series Quote
Robert8 Posted November 21, 2015 Author Posted November 21, 2015 Is it really always this late for official images? Yes. I'd say they will be out any moment now Quote
TheLazyChicken Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 While reading all of this, the only minifigures that have caught my attention are the farmer (for the pig) and the animal control guy/gal (for the skunk). Hopefully LEGO will keep adding animals to their series'! It would be awesome to get a NFL series Same, they should've done one next year to celebrate Super Bowl 50. Quote
Robert8 Posted November 21, 2015 Author Posted November 21, 2015 I expect a lot of transparent pieces for this robot. Mmmm I think translucent pieces are uncommon in the CMF theme I only remember the Banshee hair and the 3L bars Quote
telaruhn Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 There's a lot of translucent parts, like the scientist flasks, the wine bottle, the fairy wings, the xray tile... They don't feel any less common than, say, cloth parts, metallic parts, or hat/hair combo molds. All that said, I don't think the Laser Robot will have any translucent body parts, but maybe his accessory will have a translucent part. "Laser" seems to indicate he will indeed come with some sort of laser, which will definitely be translucent. But that's only based on the unofficial name. Who knows what it actually will be called... Amazing Bricks Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 How about that old translucent helmet piece? Should look good. Quote
---Vertea--- Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 maybe he has some kind of TRON aesthetic, and 'laser' refers to his design, rather than his accessory? Quote
telaruhn Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 (edited) maybe he has some kind of TRON aesthetic, and 'laser' refers to his design, rather than his accessory? That's a possibility. Something ultra-futuristic, sleeker and less anime-like than the Battle Mech? Maybe he could reuse that helmet from the 2015 Ultra Agents sets... I'd really like to see that part in different colors... Previous robots have given us both a new molded head and a regular head with a separate headgear. Not sure what this one will bring - maybe the guy that said we are getting a clockwork recolor actually meant the Laser Robot is getting an entirely new molded headpiece instead? The idea of a Robot with a lot of translucent pieces is fairly interesting.... I hope that will be the case Quote
Ardelon Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 (edited) Opinion time! Since I have no idea when I will have enough time on my hands. I had hoped to see at least a small or grainy pic by now. - satyr: While the headpiece is nice, I actually think the gargoyle mold looks decent, and a the satyr headpiece is a waste of a mold. I dont expect or really care for molded legs. But I hope we will see a panpipe accessory – good for expanding the musical instrument collection. - tribal woman: The papoose looks great. I wouldnt mind the old Native American hair, but I would like to see something ike the classic shoulder-length hair or Dastan hair with a headband. I originally hoped for a recolor of the hippie hair, but that wouldnt allow the wearing of the papoose on the back. - farmer: Will be interested to see this one. Hopefully the hat will have straw printing. The pig can be the plain old mold and it would still be great. No need for a piglet mold, not that I would complain about one. - shark suit guy: Not my cup of tea. - clumsy guy: No opinion on the crutch debate, apart from not expecting a new arm mold. Hope the cast wont be signed. As for the headpiece, at first I actually thought it was only the bandanna in white, but hopefully thats not the case. A forlorn hope is that there wont be any band-aids on the guys face as that would make it unusable for historical settings. - queen: So it looks ike a 4x1 piece on the pic. I can live with that. Good about the hair i guess – more versatile than a crown+hair mold. One of the more anticipated figs for me. Hopefully the heart & diamonds mean there will be a related figure with clubs & spades – evil queen most likely. - flying warrior: if my French serves me, „volant“ could also mean a „thieving“ warrior - just to be complete. But yeah, the helmet gives away what kind of fig it will be. Careful high hopes for this one. - laser robot: expecting tron lines, maybe a transparent head, and an overall laser show aesthetic. And a laser gun. - animal control: Was hoping for an exterminator, but this could be OK. Looking forward to the possible skun mold, and its potential reuses as a squirrel and more. - wrestling champion: The only thing that intrigues me about him is the possible mullet. - dancer: Ballerina seems most likely. What else could recognizable and stereotypical enough? Fancy ball dancer? Tap dancer? Street dancer? Tango dancer (too risqué)? Belly dancer (even more)? Pole dancer (yikes)? - kendo fighter: Not excited. Expecting the Ninjago kendo helmet, anything else would be another wasted mold. - scary knight: Dunno what to expect, but I hope its good. An undead knight would be cool, in the style of Alexandre Boudons idea. - astronaut: As someone mentioned above, Im hoping for a retro sci-fi astronaut. Though he would go best with the collectively-reviled laser gun. I wouldnt mind a contemporary astronaut, buti dont see how he/she could be made much more different than those we get in city. - jewel thief: Like many others, hoping for a female in a catsuit. - concierge: Not sure what to expect here either - dont know if a concierge would have use for a mop. BlockLogo Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 ^ Concierge in French has more the meaning of a building superintendent or custodian than a receptionist. Quote

KCMatze Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Maybe because the animal suited figures are really easy to feel for and people really like them? I do too Plus they will be awesome for a Superbowl 49 Katy Perry halftime show MOC Quote
davidmull Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Why do you think that? All the suit guys are the most expensive to buy second hand and costume guys. Did u not know that? Bumblebee girl is €40 alone Gorilla guy Chicken guy etc all big money. Quote
K_Tiger Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 (edited) The shark suit guy will prob end up being most valuable. Indeed, and, barring LEGO packing him five to a case, his price will likely skyrocket once series 15 is gone from store shelves. If nothing else he'll make potent trade fodder down the road. 8BrickMario Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 In this series, "Concierge" seems to be "Janitor", due to the mop piece. It might also be a hotel maid/housekeeper, though. I prefer the Satyr's new piece to the alternative, because the forehead of the Gargoyle piece would look very out-of-place and the lack of textured hair would look bad, too. Also, I sort of like that the Gargoyle has a unique piece. I don't get why the animal suit figures are so popular. Sure, they're cute novelties, but you can't really do much with them. I like this theme for the fantasy, horror, and sci-fi figures. Quote
Robert8 Posted November 22, 2015 Author Posted November 22, 2015 Agree. The Gargoyle headpiece would look like a helmet on the Satyr I'm glay they gave him a new piece Quote
Dosenbrot Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Why strange? They are the best figures. Are they? I never understood why people like these animal-suit figures so much... Quote
