MaxSupercars Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 (edited) Hi guys, I'm waiting for my official MB Arocs and until it comes, I shorten the time with working on it's mini version... :) I couldn't resist and wanted to show you some funny functions :) The truck got: - 4 axles, front 2 steered - opening dump - 3 sections mobile crane + grabber The main feature for me is the mobile crane. That was the reason to build the whole truck. I wanted to make the crane as small and simple as possible, with many functions. The crane will be in future placed on turntable. 5 functions of crane: (3 remote controlled) - lowering/rising of section 1 - lowering/rising of section 2 - extending/retracting of section 3 + manual function - opening/closing of grabber/clamshell bucket + crane rotation (future) To-do: - controlled rotation of turntable - complete dump lifted via small LA - complete nice looking tilting(?) cabin - maybe engine with moving pistons - maybe bigger distance between front 2 axles and maybe different steering angles - ...
