Chade Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 (edited) Hi there, I'm new to both this forum and technic, however I've been visiting this site often for the past few months. I've been amazed at some of the MOCs being built, and after buying a few sets, i thought I'd try to build a compact RC buggy. I'm a bit nervous about posting this as it's no where near the level of other MOCs on this forum. This car has 2xL motors, servo, suspension and front lights, with openable doors and boot (needs some work). Sorry about the terrible images, i don't have a very good camera. http://www.brickshel...50715_36996.jpg http://www.brickshel...50715_16747.jpg http://www.brickshel...50715_49569.jpg I'm posting as I've hit a bit of a wall with this build, and I can't work out if I should keep trying to make it better, or scrap it and start again. The front suspension has been a headache for me and it's made the front end a bit fragile. I also need to fix the doors as they should to go out, not up. I would really appreciate some constructive criticism as I want to get better at MOCing. Also, can someone tell me how to embed the images, it worked on the practise forum, but I'm having trouble here. Edit: well 2 images embedded, 3 didn't, not sure what i'm doing wrong. Chade Posted July 16, 2015 Author Posted July 16, 2015 (edited) Not bad at all for a 1st MOC. Reminds me of an Toyota iQ. Lol, it does kind of look like this. when i get good enough, i'd like to make something like this http://www.marktraffic.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/mini-Lamborghini.jpg love how compact it is. And for some reason this image is embedding but my images don't. Edited July 17, 2015 by Rick Please keep embedded images to a maximum resolution of 1024x768px Quote
Captainowie Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 (edited) Your images aren't showing up because you've linked to the Brickshelf image page, not the image itself. You want the URL that goes something like brickshelf.com/gallery/yourname/folder/imagename.jpg rather than something like brickshelf.com/gallery.cgi?i=number - hope that helps. However, you might want to look at resizing the images before you post them - they're a little on the large side. Owen. Edited July 16, 2015 by Captainowie Quote

Edwin Korstanje Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Better than my first moc I am agree with that. Welcome here at EB @Chade and a great first MOC Quote
Chade Posted July 17, 2015 Author Posted July 17, 2015 Thanks for the nice comments everyone. This is one of the friendliest and mature forums that i've been on so far. I think I'll build other peoples MOCs for a bit until I get a better understanding of design and functionality of technic. Hopefully I'll post some more MOCs as I get better at this new hobby (and get a better camera) Quote
TheNextLegoDesinger Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 i like it maybe you could make the windshield a bit more angular then flowing because in real life i have never seen that before. BTW its better than my first moc Quote

Thanks for the feedback, I've been looking other MOCs and you're right, the windshield needs to be straighter. Very... Eh... Compact? But very good looking! My bodywork is, well, let's say it's not very good. :) Lol, it's compact as I don't have enough parts . Thanks for the comments. Quote
