kinggregus Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Hi Guys, I am glad to post something which belongs into this forum. I have recently build a portion of the Brighton Pier in Lego. I thought it would be interresting to try my hands at an actual building for once. Hope you like it! Side View: For those of you who are interrested to know how the building holds together, here is the back view: Last pic: Quote
Bugbot2008 Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Nicely done! Good use of parts to sculpt the buildings details Quote
Jared Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 Not sure why I read that as "wiggun Pier".... coolio! Quote
Tariq j Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 Funnily enough I was in Brighton the other day! Nice work and superb level of accuracy Quote
PaddyBricksplitter Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 Lots of interesting techniques used here. Looks simple but really is not. Well done. Quote
kinggregus Posted July 16, 2015 Author Posted July 16, 2015 Thanks all for your comments... The sign was indeed particularly challenging to build and it took me a lot of patience and several tries... It was actually improved on each tries. Lots of interesting techniques used here. Looks simple but really is not. Well done. I am so glad you notice this. It is indeed not a straight build. I had to keep my math right. but made a minor mistake which explains the gap near the pilars. Quote
Kai NRG Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Very nice building, I particularly like the use of exposed studs on the side. The round arch decorations on top of each section are really neat too! Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Last pic is my favourite! Perfect MOC! Quote
kinggregus Posted July 23, 2015 Author Posted July 23, 2015 The Pier I build made the news in Brighton. It is the first time I make the news for a Lego-related thing which is really cool .
