Nyundi Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 Check the location of the seller and that underbidder.Seller: Elicott City, Maryland. Underbidder: Columbia City, Maryland. Still a coincidence. Except the listings for the Columbia City bidder state that he's in Elicott. Hmmm right down the street from me. Columbia and Ellicott City are smashed right up against each other (Columbia's growth seems to eat into EC's turf from time to time... it's really tough to tell where one starts and the other ends). Still, that sort of activity is mighty suspicious.
Shadows Posted October 17, 2007 Author Posted October 17, 2007 How is this LEGO? Cool! I have a weird fondness in my heart for tiki type things. As for how this is lego, it is and it isn't. Apparently there is an entire line of lego plastic/porcelain/ceramic type stuff that was made by a Japanese company in the 60's. No connection to our LEGO. At least that's what I've pieced together from seeing some auctions for it. Tiki On! *y*
DJ Force Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 This one really isn't particularly funny, I just thought it was kind of neat (and the title made me scratch my head wondering when LEGO had made such a thing, but it's a custom of course).http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=270165197701 I wouldn't spend that much on it, but it does seem kind of neat. I only vaguely remember one of these places decades ago and then it closed here. I understand they still exist out west. This thing is making me sooo sad! This is a Wiener Schnitzel: and it

Stauder Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Our installment today brings us the incredible opportunity to buy something shockingly rare! Now honestly, I like boobies as much as the next guy, assuming the next guy isn't Hinckley :-P, but this is just silly ... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=190158484167 Yes, that's right, for just $30 you could have never before seen (by this idiot seller) LEGO cleavage! WOW! 8-
DJ Force Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Considering my avatar, don't be so certain. >:-) Really though, it was just a corny name for a fast food hotdog place. I'm fairly sure the naming process went like this. AdExec1: A hotdog place? Ok... let's see. DogsRUs. AdExec2: The animal people will scream. How about Tasty Buns? AdExec1: This is a family restaurant ... AdExec2: Right, right. Um.. Weiner something! AdExec1: Weiner... Weiner House! Stop n' Weiner! Weiner Takes All! AdExec2: Uh, no. AdExec1: I'm already sick of this weiner sh*sneeze* AdExec2: That's brilliant! AdExec1: Huh? AdExec2: Weiner Schnitzel! Isn't that what you said? AdExec1: Uh, yeah. That's right. I'm a megablockin' genius! The rest, as they say, is fictionalized history. I'll just apologize now to the entire population of Germany. :-$ Okay, I was laughing my a$$ off now :D But I can still put another claim on top of it, because the city of Wien has got nothing to do with Germany. That
Shadows Posted October 18, 2007 Author Posted October 18, 2007 I love that Tiki! *sweet* I'd post the pics of the great tiki bar moc it sits in, but they're huge. Here's the gallery. I love the lighted shot so much, it's one of the first mocs I'd like to directly copy instead of just adopt ideas from. It's just that perfect to me. *wub*
