so i have build the Hogwarts Express GWR Hall loco with coaches. six wide, 8 wide when counting cilinders etc. he loco has no detail in the cab but the coaches have. i put curved bricks on the side of the coaches to give a better look. I'm pretty happy about how it turned out. the loco is build on an modified emerald night chassis. i removed the trailing wheels and and removed the gears. the LXF is included and pictures are on my flickr.

i hope you guys like it. i certainly like it and be prepared for other LDD mods bcause i have one train done and one is in the works ;)

Thank you

Edit: removed the LXF. IT IS STILL MY OWN DESIGN!

I think it looks nice! it's a really great start to a train that was really under-designed by LEGO. (by that I mean we never got a D2C or UCS set with working pistons, numerous coaches) Anyway, if anyone is wondering, here is what his model looks like if you don't want to follow the link:

As a side note: I would suggest trimming off the white parts of the model and centering it the frame, like I did with my Hogwarts Express model:

Hope this helps!

EDIT: I just noticed your model does not feature a sliding middle axle on the tender. You need the middle axle to slide to get the car to go around Lego curves. Other that that, your model is awesome!

Thank you, what do you mean with the white? I know about the axles, forgot to recolour them. And the sliding axle is not needed. 3 wheels can go trough to corners easy. Atleast on my track. Or do you mean that because of the coupling between loco and tender? The pieces i needed were not in ldd so i had to improvise.

I mean the strips of blank white around the actual model in the picture: they take up a ton of screen space. you can edit them out by using Microsoft paint by selecting the picture and re-sizing the boundaries on the edge of the picture. if you don't have Microsoft windows, then you may have to ask others for help: I only use windows and don't have a clue about other operating systems / programs.

Keep up the good work!
