Hi, here are some pictures of my new Imperial navy frigate.

It doesn't have a name yet, but it's loosely based on La Rennomee, which can be seen here:

drudock models

A very good pictorial reference site, i think.

But here she is:

Let me know what you think, still need to think about lifeboats and stuff.

just copy paste this

C:\Documents and Settings\Rick\Mijn documenten\Mijn afbeeldingen\newship.htm

I'm sorry, but I'm a complete retard when it comes to computers, don't I have to copy paste an internet URL link instead of something that comes from my documents? correct me if I'm wrong, I'm dumb when it comes to these sort of things. :-P

Errr.... that is on your computer, not the internet. You will need to upload it somewhere, like Flickr, first.

You do nothing!

Captain green hair has to upload it off his computer!

LOL, I know, My mistake, I hope this creation will look as good as his Denise

I'll wait,

I can see the pictures, and I have to say, that stern's really beautiful!!

I'd have to see some more detailed and sharper pictures to make "a final judgment" though.

But from what I see, It's beautiful. It also looks very historically accurate wich I love!

My only remark would be it's a very little bit too short. I think it would look better (sleeker) if you make it taller, right now it looks a little stubby. I think one mid section extra would do the trick.

It seems we can learn alot from you..

Ziet er echt goed uit!

You might be right mr. Tiber, maybe it should be longer...

I've put in 4 mid sections, i don't have any more and they're hard to find...

However in the pictures it looks stubbier then it really is.

Remind that in those ages, ships where sort of a bathtub with sails :-/

If you have any construction questions, i'll try to explain with some pictures.

Thnx for the nice comment!

Nice MOC so far Captain! *y*

The only suggestion i can think of is to have the white stripe, if possible :-/ , to wrap around the front of the ship.

How many cannons are (or will be) on this ship?

Also the cannons on the Spar Deck, are those MOC cannons?

If so, i'd like a closer pic when you get the chance X-D

For free places to put your pics online i suggest brickshelf or photobucket.

Thanks,

P

Aye,

If you look at the rennomee, which i based the ship on, u will see that the stripe ends at the front, what i also like is that, with the black you have ore contrast on the yellow stern.

The renomee can be seen here: http://gallery.drydockmodels.com/albums.ph...lbumListPage=35

This is one of the best reference sites i think.

The ship will have 24 canons, due to the hull construction and the number i have there are only 8 really in the lower deck which u can see.

I tried to upload on BS yesterday, but it wasn't possible due to server problems.

The cannons on deck are indeed mocs, i've made several designs, bu these are nice and small.

I've started on the rigging, she'll be done probably next week.

Then i''l get you a load of pictures;)

Geetings!

Only four mid sections? That indeed is short..

It's funny, I have like seven of those mid sections lying around in my room :-D

However in the pictures it looks stubbier then it really is.

But there also were alot more elegant and sleeker ships in the same ages. And I believe that was for sail-technical reasons..

If you have any construction questions, i'll try to explain with some pictures.

Well.... I would like to know how you constructed those decorations on the stern..

Btw, it seems you've based this ship on La R

Witch decorations exactly do you mean, the ones on the side, or the rear?

The ones on the side, please. Close ups and sharper pictures would be highly appreciated!

I don't make sketches, i just keep looking at the pictures over and over.........

And i rebuild sections like 100 times, as you can see there's no straight part in the hull or anywhere X-D

Greetings mate's!

I thought the ship was supposed to have curved lines! :-P

Hmm, I've never seen a ship that had the stripe end right before the bow :-$

Well, now i know they exist ;-)

Sweet!

Once i get a close up of the cannon, i'll add it to Index of MOC Cannons. *y*

Very awesome X-O . The stern is quite beautifully done *wub*

The cannons are quite ingenious. I enjoyed looking at your other creations as well, especially the submarine, I have never seen a Lego one in this size before.
