TheBrickPal Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 (edited) Just saw the set. It looks great! For those wondering, it looks pretty much exactly like this ship in the trailer: Edited November 15, 2015 by Puffle Pal26 Quote
Rookie875 Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 The big set being a giant tree/jungle/forest thing would be pretty cool. I have 0 idea as to what it actually is, though. All the birds have new body molds, they're just like the Red bird. Is the image for this one open to the public? You'll find it, just keep looking. There's 6 sets. Two big ones, three medium, one $20 set size. There's no cheap set which was expected. I found it, thank you. The ship looks better than I thought I would. Quote

mediumsnowman Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Wow, the one set we've seen is the opposite of most Licensed stuff! The minifigs look awful but the set itself looks good! Quote
Lyichir Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 We know about the smaller egg piece from these sets, but is it possible that the larger "dragon egg" piece from the 2015 Elves sets might find its way into this theme as well? I recently realized that while that piece has crystalline "facets", those seem to only be on the inside of the part, so if it were molded in a solid color like white it'd be able to pass for an ordinary egg. Now, I say this with the caveat that this is one of the themes I haven't seen any prelims for and know very little about. I have no idea whether the sets use that part or if there would be any use for larger eggs in this theme in the first place, but I figured I'd raise the possibility. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 The pirate set might have some useful parts... but there no way I'll get it with all the other things I want! this has got to be the weirdest license ever. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Falconfan1414 Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 (edited) It's just the mini figures are not mini figures it does not feel legoy Edited November 15, 2015 by Falconfan1414 Quote
Galaad Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 They will also be a catapult in each set Quote
CM4Sci Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 They will also be a catapult in each set Awesome! Can you post a picture of the text part of the page? Quote
Shawn Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 go to flickr and search lego 2016 and sort by most recently uploaded. That should do it Quote
DuckBricks Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Just saw the boat set. A bit underwhelming, but pretty faithful to the source material... Still better than I expected these AB sets to be. Quote
Dorayaki Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 The ship looks.... ummmm... very innovative and real to the film.... but probably one of the least LEGO-like licensed set in recent years. Quote
Galaad Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Awesome! Can you post a picture of the text part of the page? Unfortunately no, I took the pics but the catalogue isn't mine However, exept for catapult thing, they wasn't anything eslse about the sets. It was just infos to convince of the appeal of the line. It was also the case for the mighty micros/BvS/Civil War... Quote

Literally every page says 'kids will love it because X, X, and X!' Over and over again. Quote
Galaad Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 It's a bit more technical, like "stimulate compulsive buying", "hight potential of collection effect" or "Billion downloads game (for angry birds) etc.. Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 "stimulate compulsive buying" Glad to know Lego refers to us with such understandable terminology. Please sell this product, as it will lead to addition. Not the case with this license, I think. This is a 10% pass for me! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Robert8 Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 (edited) Is this real? Because I myself look more like a LEGO minifigure than these guys. Kaanere Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 I believe they are! They look odd in real life, maybe it's just the lighting. It's not because of the lighting, it's because they ARE odd. Quote
kevkipo Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Those are tiny! (Wich is good bc it's Lego) But they aren't very poseable are they? Quote
Robert8 Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 It's not because of the lighting, it's because they ARE odd. Agree.... this is one of the oddest licenses I've ever seen Quote
