Fletcher Floyd Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Hello Folks, it's Showdown-Time: Captain Doug Flanders and his crew have reached the secret mystery island, but were cought by some undead fellows, led by the infernal "Wrath" (sitting on his bone-throne) and his son, the fierce shadow-warrior "Chaos". They've set a trap for the pirates just to steal their ship! Flanders and his crew shall be fed to the crocodiles in the "Corcodile Pit". While his comrade Albert already got cought by one of the hungry beasts, Captain Doug Flanders has nothing but his sabre to defend himself. The undead crowd is cheering and laughing. Nobody knows that Royal Navy Captain Buzz Tennebaum and his bluecoat fellows have followed the pirates. They've approached in silence, ready to attack. Will they of all people be the ones saving the pirates from the undead?? 22 by Fletcher Floyd, auf Flickr 2 by Fletcher Floyd, auf Flickr 20 by Fletcher Floyd, auf Flickr 19 by Fletcher Floyd, auf Flickr 11 by Fletcher Floyd, auf Flickr I hope you like it 9 by Fletcher Floyd, auf Flickr 3 by Fletcher Floyd, auf Flickr 15 by Fletcher Floyd, auf Flickr 7 by Fletcher Floyd, auf Flickr I hope you like it, have fun watching:-) Quote
Captain Dee Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Interesting twist on the Pirates theme. The scene is built well and the details and posing are good. I think the new crocodiles look better than the old ones in the head at least. The rocks are somewhat simple but the pit looks excellent. Apparently those crocs are messy eaters (in reality they digest bones too). The bluecoats really add another level of intrigue. I'm guessing they let the crocs eat all but Flanders, then burst forth from hiding amidst a hail of gunfire and capture him from among the "natives" for future, uh, "questioning." The skeletons and scattered bones give this a very moody, macabre feel. Not exactly my cup of rum but well built regardless. Quote
Staslegomaster Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 I like your creation and story but it's still a little bit too cruel. My pirate Battle island set is also about skeletons vs soldiers and is dedicated to LEGO pirates 25th anniversary. Your island is even cooler than LEGO Indigo island. Quote
Fletcher Floyd Posted June 8, 2015 Author Posted June 8, 2015 Thanks for your feedback guys:-) Yes, this Moc is a little bit "bloody", but see, this really is one bloodthirsty bunch of monsters on "Isla Mortadella":-D Interesting thoughts on the story Captain Dee! But I think the Bluecoats will interfere immediately. This way, Albert will probably be the only victim of the crocodiles:-D Quote
mojaramask Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 A nice bloody spectacle you got there! I would not want to step foot near that pit! Quote
Dunedain Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Awesome MOC, I love bloody macabre MOC's, whenever it pertains to Lego Pirates. Although, I had to laugh out load a bit, at your use of Mortadella as the name. Where I am in America, and specifically New York city, mortadella is an Italian American bologna, lunchmeat. Quote
Captain Ignatius Flotsam Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 This is a really cool MOC you've made! I love the way the water in the pit seems to be wild and everyone in it is splashing, eating or surviving! It looks very dynamic! Also a cool backstory with the bluecoats and all! Quote
