You've got some great ideas Grevious. Here's the one I keep repeating and updating:

Dark Wizard's Castle

From this mighty dark castle the Dark Wizard plots to rule the entire world! A group of brave knights and dwarfs go inside it to find out more about the secrets of their enemies. Will they escape alive from its dark walls? Will they have the skills to overcome the traps, the enemies and all the other dangers the fortress hides? Includes one Crown Knight at foot, one mounted knight*, two dwarfs, three goblin soldiers, one troll, the Dark Wizard**, and more! ***

* with chrome silver greatsword, silver barding, ovoid shield and, hopefully, a plume piece

** What if he got a redesign?

Hey, just thought of something: what if next year the Necromancer got a redesign, like Vladek did for each year of KK? Red and black could be swapped, resulting into a new outfit that is black with bright red details (the hips, the hands, the hat and the cape- a red cape with collar, or another black/red vampire cape). Not to mention...black Imperial Guard Torso!
*** Including the troll it includes a total 10 minifigs. King's Castle siege does, too.

Since Lego likes to include little useless launching devices that kids seem to love, the set would have to include a siege machine for the good guys, also they would slap on the castle a pair of ugly catapults, similar to the ones in Vladek's Dark Fortress. The castle would have traps and details such as a spinning wall, a prison, a trap door that I miss so much, a large throne room and a well done drawbridge (similar to the one from the VDF).

Price: 90-100 Euro, I guess.

This is my dream set. X-D

That totally sounds like a pumped up version of Vladek's dark fortress to me, not just sharing some of the details. Still, if they did it with the Castle spirit in it, and not lots of crazy things like in KK, then it could be one of the must have sets in the year it came out. *sweet*

Speaking of which, I think TLC could consider making even more factions if they went into a third year. Elves and Forestmen on! *y*

VDF on steroids, with the greatness of the new Castle line. That's my general idea.

I want Elves. Lego made me happy with the dwarfs, the goblins and the trolls, but I want Elves too!

Take a look at this folder.

Sure, there are things that are way too modern, but there are werewolfs, demonic creatures, mummies, various dark beings...I'd like to see some things like these joining the army of the Dark Wizard.

Dark army on!

Now that's a great idea! Another set to expand the dwarf mining would be wonderful. More modular additions to the King's Castle wouldn't be bad either. Regarding the goblin army:

Goblin Siege Engine Attack

The goblins have built a massive siege engine and they want to test it on the king's knights! Help the brave soldiers defending the outpost from the enemies, using the catapult at the top and the various weapons. The goblins' siege engine features a ram, a catapult, a prison cage and more. The set includes 3 goblins, a troll, 3 knights and a horse with barding.

The goblin siege engine would be kinda like the main building from Bull's Attack, but in reddish brown, much bigger, with goblin flags, shields, horns (viking ones and large tail tip ones) to decorate it, and, of course, with a much better design. It would have a working ram, a catapult at the side (I include many catapults because that's what Lego would do, personally I almost always remove them from my sets anyway), a prison cage in the middle that can house 4-5 minifigs, a tower section at the top, a ladder at the other side so minifigs can reach the top. It would be the ultimate siege machine.

Regarding the Crown Knights outpost.. first off it would be modular. You would be able to attack it to the King's Castle. Of course it would need a catapult a the top. It could be a sort of small tower, with 2-3 floors. I think it would be a bit smaller than the sea outpost from Skeleton Ship Attack.

Price: I'd say 70 Euro.

Those are great and doable ideas Grevious !!

To tell you the truth I really love that theme and will be happy with whatever TLC releases ;-)

I cannot wait to see what january holds hehe !!

Amen Brother !!

However, I don't want TLC to expand too much, they need to stay focused on several factions (like they did in the glorious age of pirates: pirates, red/blue coats, spaniards and islanders) = 5 factions hehe

Bring it On TLC !!

*yoda*

Yeah, I always try to keep my set ideas realistic, and not just dreams, so I don't give enormous ammounts of figures or things like that. ;-)

Well, I don't really count the Trolls as a faction. They seem like they could be the workhorses for that goblin faction in Dwarves Mining or something. So, Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Skeletons, and Goblins with a few mythical animals thrown in seems like a great idea to me. *sweet*

To tell you the truth I don't think anyone here is thinking anything different! (and for good reason!) X-D

Okay, maybe Glyman. (j/k) :-P

I thinking realistically here, so I'm not going to include a hundred minifigs per set, heres my idea:

Goblin Cage:

This set is like crossbow attack, it is great for army building.

Includes 2 goblins with rough weapons, 1 dwarf locked in a small cage built into a smal rock wall.

Price is equal to Final Joust.

his will help you build up your armies, and as a bonus build a smal cave out of the rocks once you have enough of this set!

here's another castle set ideas thread. A post in this thread surprisingly marks the first and only time ive been accused of doing drugs on this forum. Edited by john cleese

John Cleese, those are different faction ideas, not set ideas.

Shakar, great idea with the siege weapon. It could be pulled along by the troll. X-D

Castle Well :9.99

-Includes Princess Minifig or Peasent Women with the braided hair piece

-Small well with flowers and a New bucket mold

-Small Playability feature is the bucket can go up and down the well

This will let TLG expand with village sets and a chance to do more female figs

What do you think?

Posted it in another thread but this is a good place too

Still I don't think those green creatures are goblins :-/

Battle Packs ON!!

I am hoping that Lego will release village sets, I think that the creator of this castle line said that they might be only on shop@home. I also believe modular building would be great. Batbrick away!!! >:-)

sorry i forgot what that thread was about, becuase i went into so much detail as to what sets would be available for my ridiculous line.

Okay, my idea is not a set but special figs (like the Princess, Wizard and King)

What special set figs would you like to see?

Mine would be:

A goblin king. He would have bronze armour which would make him stand out because all the other goblins have crummy weapons. He would be in the largest goblin set and have maybe a special sword.

Evil human: Maybe Dark Wizards son or just a betrayer of the king. He would wear dark red style clothing and weild a dark bronze sword. Comes in a set with the Dark Wizard.

King's son: Would be a regular knight but with silver armour and new double-sided face. Could have new weapon or golden axe or blah blah....

Tell me if you like my ideas or write in your own! Batbrick away! >:-)

please no more two faces (i mean like in exoforce) they look ridiculous without the proper headgear. If they expect you to make your minifigs have different expressions, then they better put in two heads. Two heads is better than one. All your other ideas are great.

I understand that john cleese. But double heads are good for me as an animator as I can turn their head to make them talk. Still, any ideas of your own for castle figs?

How about a revival of the dragon knights, but with a modern do-over. They can have the visor helmets with dragon attachments, special dragon armour, an ovoid shield with dragon design, and possible a new sword. If not, then a greatsword in dark bley instead of the usual silver. The largest set could come with a few dragon warriors, a dragon's den, a dragon, and a few baby dragons.

Or the Ogre King. He could have different colour armour than the other ogres, he could be in a set with a giant ogre sized fort, or in a dwarf set chained up in a cage or something.

I like that Dragon Knights idea, but is it such a good idea to place Dragon Knights in a theme with ugly, Megablock dragons?

I also think as a set that the battering ram idea is awesome.

And yes iamded, I AM stalking you! >:-)

Ugly? They look awesome, IMO! And don't complain about the big pieces, because the new dragons have more pieces than the old green and black dragons from the old castle themes.

Unless, you don't like those either. 8-|

Actually I don't Grevious, the Viking Dragons were the perfect dragons. Made out of many peices and fully playable too. The new dragons are worse than the Dino Attack dinosaurs because atleast they were fully molded. The eyes on these are just printed on.

But thats your opinion so I respect that. What sort of stuff would you like to see Grevious?

I love the Dragon Masters, but I only own two knights and Majisto from the faction. So I'd love a new dragon faction, with a castle similar to a hybrid between Dark Dragon's Den and Fire Breathing Fortress; but much more elaborate and..uhm...with a better design. I also think that Dracus's faction should have been be expanded more. I love these shields:

I like the idea of the Ogre/Goblin king. I think that he should have a different and more elborate version of regular goblin soldiers torsos (I bet that they have a viking-esque torso...scale mail, belts, etc..), a new, wicked looking type of crown, either a sword or a staff and, finally, a cape in a new colour. Dark green, peraphs?
