IronFish Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 I ordered something at the beginning of the month of bricklink, and after waiting several weeks for it I contacted the guy, and he said it was delivered on the 16th, and I don't remember getting any packages in my mailbox. I asked him for a tracking number, but I don't know if he had one. Please help. Quote

I've made nearly 100 BL orders the last 10 years or so and there's a tendency of 10% of my orders in limbo somewhere. they finally arrived though after nearly 2 months. Some of the delays were caused by my country's national postal for holding the package up at the Customs. Quote

With your orders, did they say they were delivered? Quote
beeernpizza Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Iron fish. If the guy was able to tell you the package was delivered on the 16th then he must have a tracking number to be able to know that it was delivered on the 16th. Ask him for proof of delivery Quote

Ask him for proof of delivery Not necessarily. I know when I ship stuff through the USPS they will give me an estimated date of arrival whether I get a tracking number or not. Maybe he was just using that? Either way you should ask him for at least a picture of the receipt to confirm he actually sent your order. Personally I only have ever had one BL order not come. It was an international order and the guy kept telling me it was being held by customs for over a few months. Finally he just refunded me my payment, no questions asked which was kind of weird. Quote

AmperZand Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 A BL order once took 25 days to reach me by air from the Netherlands - and I'm in the UK! I use BL quite extensively and will order from many - but not all - countries. Of the countries I do order from, the Netherlands seems to have the least reliable postal system. Surprisingly, I haven't had problems ordering from the US. I used to live there and mail went missing all the time. Quote

talos Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 When using BL, really need to be on top of things, like your address, and make sure its all current, matching PayPal address is the best way to go. Most in the US sellers get a tracking number with the shipment, but lately I have been running into sellers that neglect to send it to me. I have to ask. Just yesterday I realized I had one order from two weeks ago, and never got a tracking number. I sent them a message and they said...oh oops, your order has been sitting on my desk and I 'forgot' to mail it. Well gee... They sent the tracking number, and I see it was sent yesterday and I should get it today. Really is a pain when they do things like that, and they are within driving distance of me, so it should come today. I hope they can resend your order, or do something helpful... Quote
