Hwlooahdfsjl Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 (edited) Hi! I was looking for a review of this set when POOF! I suddenly found it in my hands. Since nobody has reviewed this set yet, I am taking the chance for my first-ever review! So let's begin… LEGO.com description: Safeguard the security of the Senate with the elite LEGO® Star Wars Senate Commando Troopers battle pack! As featured in The Clone Wars animated TV series, this crack team of highly trained soldiers is armed to the teeth with weaponry. Fire the stud blasters then seat the trooper on the rotating base and unleash a hail of studs with the never-before-seen rapid shooter! This amazing battle pack includes 4 minifigures with weapons: A Senate Commando Captain and 3 Senate Commandos. Price: $12.99 Pieces: 106 The box (art) I threw the box away before it came to me that I could review it. So I'm just going to give you the instruction booklet, which of course has the same art, minus the minifig whatever-it-is: The art shows some shooting action, with the troopers running in all directions, and the 2x2 clear brick seems to be floating, while the legs themselves are solid on the ground. Minifigs This is a battle pack, so the only reason you'd bother to buy one of these is for the minifigs. Let's see if they're worth the price. As you can see, they are all the same except for the one on the far left, which is the Captain, according to the description from LEGO.com.The Commandos that are not the Captain have the same printing as regular clones, except blue. They also have the same heads as all the clones since 2013. But the Captain has a different print and head. Of course, all of them have the stud shooters with the Captain's having an extra protrusion. Well, that's all I can fit into this post; I'll be posting more soon! MartinCliffe Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 There's already a review here... but nice start. Quote
Flieger Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Thanks for the review! I would like to read your opinions on the set. A little advice: your pictures are a bit too small. A width of 800 is pretty good to view on this forum, and perhaps better suited for review purposes. Quote
Tariq j Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Welcome to EB! Good start on the review, in addition to what Flieger said I would recommend a white background for your photos if possible, its not essential for reviews but good to have. Quote
Hwlooahdfsjl Posted May 27, 2015 Author Posted May 27, 2015 (edited) There's already a review here... but nice start. Well, that never showed up in my search results, so yeah… Thanks for the review! I would like to read your opinions on the set. A little advice: your pictures are a bit too small. A width of 800 is pretty good to view on this forum, and perhaps better suited for review purposes. Thanks for the advice, I found a site that can (FINALLY) make my picture's byte size smaller without actually making the picture smaller. Welcome to EB! Good start on the review, in addition to what Flieger said I would recommend a white background for your photos if possible, its not essential for reviews but good to have. Well, I guess I'll have to work on that for my next review, since I've already taken all the photos for this review. Edited May 27, 2015 by Hwlooahdfsjl Quote
