Do you know if some old lego sets will be repeated?

There's always a chance of a reproduction, but I wouldn't count on it when it comes to the 8043 and 8258.

The 8043 does have a lot of commonly available parts. You will be able to build it without making a huge investment. Some goes (more or less) for the 8258. I would use Rebrickable to check which parts you miss and order them via Bricklink.

Likewise.... I would not count on repeating sets. Although they may be re-made, they will likely be much different. In general terms, both models have already been remade or are remakes of other models, 8294 and 8436. As you can well see, however, they are very very different with some releases being far superior than others. The only model that I know of that, to me, seems to be a true Technic re-release is the race truck, 8041 and 42041. And, given this is the only true technic re-release (at least that I know of) one can assume that it will be very unlikely of a re-release of the models you desire. Technic is not like the SW collection that gets a re-release every few years. Take Jim's advice and order the parts for your builds.

There were some re-releases before, like the 8460 crane and 8459 loader which were both re-released twice. That had partly to do since the troubles TLC was in at the time, and after 2004 I can't remember any Technic re-release. I'm a little surprised to see a new re-release.

I doubt either 8043 or 8258 will ever come back as re-releases, now the general trend is new sets every year. I wish another thing tho, LEGO should re-release old sticker sheets, I would kill for a 8461 sticker sheet

How about go-kart 854/948, forklift 850/950, chassis 853/951 or dozer 856/956 were those re-releases or what, because they have 2 set numbers.
