I've built a small Classic passenger car with the Hobby Train kit plus two minifigs, to go with the nice little black steam engine of the same set. It is based on the classic blue era train kit 131, but rebuilt to Minifig scale in Hobby Train colors. I used SNOT for the steps to the entry platforms at both ends of the car. I built it in Real bricks and made some CAD instructions for it after building. The couplers are a bit offset, due to the odd lenght of 18 studs and the use of a 2x6 along with a 6x16 plate for the base. Now on to the Pics

This is the black steam engine from set 10183 with a cotton steam and the car attached.

This is a side view of the car. those pillars are just the black lightsaber blades stuck into a round 1x1 brick. The doors can't be opened since I wanted the scale fitting to the engine and those black boxes are for the car electrics.

This is the roof from below. Its just 3 train roofs and a 1x1 plates for the interior lights.

This is the interior with the 3 roof bricks taken off. It's just 3 seats.

As with all of my MOCs, I've made some instructions, which can be found here!

Is the engine a design of your own, too?

No it's not my own design, I only did some little Mods to the base model. It's actually one of the 30 model designs, which can be built from the LDD instructions to the set 10183. The car is made of the "leftovers" and goes well with it.
