Commander Turtle Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 There are a lot of smart ideas here, I like the hexagonal cargo and the cockpit in particular. Are real bricks available in all these colours? Quote
OLDNUT Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Out of a sea of pirates come the most awesome space ship. Thanks for the wakeup. The second (spoiler) ship LEGO? Looks like your work flow includes rendering followed by composing the final pic but always starting with a solid design. Quote

I don't know. I never care about colors. Out of a sea of pirates come the most awesome space ship. Thanks for the wakeup. The second (spoiler) ship LEGO? And I even didn't planed to make LEGO version of it. That was absolutely spontaneously. Thanks. Quote
deraven Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 The overall shape and design is great, as is the color selection (even if they're not all available in real bricks!). I really like the hexagonal cargo pods, and the solar arrays build with the ship rigging pieces are a cool method as well. Wonderfully done! Quote
blackdeathgr Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 (edited) Just WoW! Reporting for duty... Edited May 16, 2015 by blackdeathgr Quote
hunpeter12 Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Great work! I dig the colorscheme and the solar panels Quote

danth Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 Wow! Looks even better with real bricks! I like the red color scheme. Quote
King_Arthur Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 (edited) I not so sure that this last version was made with real bricks. The #48310 part wasn't produced by Lego in red color ... Nevertheless, the new nose is very appealing. Great job and bravo. Some of your renders on Flickr are looking like so real and you have so many different references of parts in scene. Which software did you use if I may ask ? Edited August 20, 2016 by King_Arthur Quote
Littleworlds Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Great looking spaceship! Thats really pushing the boundaries for Minifig-sized ships! I not so sure that this last version was made with real bricks. The #48310 part wasn't produced by Lego in red color ... Nevertheless, the new nose is very appealing. Great job and bravo. Some of your renders on Flickr are looking like so real and you have so many different references of parts in scene. Which software did you use if I may ask ? I am not sure either. Some bits look out of focus which hints to being shot rl, though the light reflections on some of the red hull pieces look unusual. Maybe its just matte paint though. Quote
Sunder Posted August 22, 2016 Author Posted August 22, 2016 Thanks again. Actually I almost have no real bricks so this is still render. Forgot to give a link for model on Mecabricks: http://mecabricks.com/en/models/QVzvM3G72Jp Which software did you use if I may ask ? I use Blender 3D + a bit modified Mecabrick's template for it. R0bcrt Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 I love those solar panels! A very clever way to recreate them! Quote
danth Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 Thanks again. Actually I almost have no real bricks so this is still render. Damn. It looks so real! Either way I like the new version a lot. Quote
King_Arthur Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 I use Blender 3D + a bit modified Mecabrick's template for it. Thanks, the result is brilliant. I should try the experience. Quote
GeoBrick Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 They both look splendid. But the first one catches my eye the most. Quote
Patgeo Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Amazing creation! I love all the little touches and details that you included! Congratulations! Quote
BrickJagger Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Thanks again. Actually I almost have no real bricks so this is still render. Forgot to give a link for model on Mecabricks: http://mecabricks.co...els/QVzvM3G72Jp I use Blender 3D + a bit modified Mecabrick's template for it. That's an incredible render. I was convinced it was real until I noticed that the dark gray plate on the front looked fake. The build is also very good. Love how you built the solar panels. Quote
