Awaken_M1nd Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 (edited) Thanks for sharing! Do you recharge iwatch every day? :) Edited May 9, 2015 by Awaken_M1nd Quote
Jim Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Hi Burf, Great demo! Can you explain your setup a bit more? I reckon the Apple watch communicates with an App running on your iPhone and your iPhone is connected to the EV3 unit? Will you be making another demo, using the Apple Watch's Gyro Sensor? Quote

Burf2000 Posted May 11, 2015 Author Posted May 11, 2015 Hi all :) So, yes the Apple watch does need charging every day, I also have a Pebble Steel (I should hook that up to my robot) and I feel that is more solid in many ways (waterproof, battery, connection) however its not as pretty! The watch is still very nice! Currently you have NO access to any apple watch hardware sensors, developing for the apple watch is pretty limited at the mo compared to normal dev (no subclassing, no custom controls, no hardware access, no gestures) All code that you write for the Apple Watch actually runs on the watch. Burf2000 Posted May 24, 2015 Author Posted May 24, 2015 Anyone else done any EV3 with wearables? Quote
pabr Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Very cool. I did not expect hacks involving EV3 and the Apple Watch to appear so quickly. FYI I followed the links in your signature, hoping to read more about this project, but http://www.burf.org.uk/ currently says "This Account Has Been Suspended". Anyone else done any EV3 with wearables? Does a head mounted display qualify as a wearable ? http://www.pabr.org/...rickfpv.en.html Quote
Burf2000 Posted October 15, 2015 Author Posted October 15, 2015 Wow that video is awesome Site fixed, sorry for the delay. I am now building a Apple Watch controllable tank Quote
pyro690 Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 I knocked this up at lunch time. I read this and was not expecting LEGO. Not an apple fan but it is neat. Quote
