I was wondering if there existed some kind of archives with pictures of sets in their early development...

Because I've noticed it often happens that in a review someone rants that something was done better in the prototype or the other way around but I've never managed to see any (or only a very few)... And of course, by the time I read about it, the set is out or already definite... (The motorised AT-AT is probably the only one I've seen in its before and after stages)

After all there're lots of sites that archaive the different sets and parts and everything, so why not the prototypes...

Does anyone know anything about such a thing ?

(I like those kind of weird sounding sentences :-P )

awesome!

Thanks a lot!

Now I get why some people cry over the greatness of some prototypes...

Look at that graveyard... Though I do love the actual one too (only HP set I've bought...)

Hmm.... perhaps it would be nice to have a pinned place in the LEGO News & General Discussion forum for all those prototype pics, or even that whole topic? 8-|
