Osric felt uncomfortable. Hi's eyes were forced on the weatherd tomb stone. He had heard the lore of this grave. It was said, that once in the old days, when there was not the one king but many kings, the wanderer had been the ruler of a small realm. Until he had been overthrown by one of his many foes. Restless and captured in his grief, and aware that he, who once had been king would die as man without possession, he wandered through Historica. He had ended here, where the elves had him laid to his last rest.

Osric remembered his own kingdom that was lost. The thought that he would never again be a king made him frighten.

His combatant for today sood silent in front of him. The Kaliphlin knight maybe had hoped for a more noble oponent. He did surely not know that he had the honour to challenge a born king.

The exciled king heard the bright and ageless laughter of the elf above them:"The wars of you mortals are nothing more but children's games to elves. What is a month of war against a century of peace in our forrests? Now, begin!"

I really like your ideas, about placing the legs of minifigs in an special but very creative way! Do you had some inspiration for that? I would be interested ;)

Amazing work, Jakob  . I love the way you made the tree and the posing is excellent, too!

Great base, Great tree, Great posing. The colours are superb too. My only criticism is that the colours for Osric blend in to the background a bit.

Thank you all very much. Glad you enjoyed it!

You mean for that fellow in the tree? To be honest, I jut needed to place him somewhere and there wasn't any room left on the ground.

That is a fantastic tree, Jacob, and the posing of that elf is hilarious - although he seems to be enjoying it a bit too much!

Gorgeous entry, the landscaping is supreme! Between the SNOT landscaping, angled rockwork, elaborate tree and perfect fig posing, it is obvious you have a true talent for packing many wonderful, creative techniques into very small builds. That is one sign of a true moc master imho. Love the story too, you have such an excellent way with words and fantasy storytelling. Again, can't wait to see what happens when we're back to building full time in Nocturnus!

Fantastic work Jacob! The elf's posing is great, as is the tree design and the angled rocks. One thing that has always bugged me about your sigfig is the bright red tail, it seems very out of place, but I always assumed there were no better options. However have you considered using black snakes instead?

Dark brown and red make for an eye-catching tree. The trunk is very good; I know it's virtually impossible to create realistic bark textures with Lego, which makes this a very good attempt. The base and its details are nice. And the posing of the elf - specifically the legs - is just brilliant. They look so natural hanging slightly uneven like that versus the unyielding side-to-side rigidity of standard leg posing. Keep it up!

Thank you very, very much, ME. It's great to hear that the stories are enjoyable even to native speakers.

I think that may be the best tree I've seen, using that SNOT design  Wonderful base too

Thank you very much! Next entry will show more alternate leg posing ;)

Thanks! I tried it but I just liked the red ones more.

Very nice! I've got a couple big evergreen trees that use the same construction technique that I'm waiting to drop into a nice, icy cold Mitgardian MOC sometime this year. I'll be remembering the tap trick to rework them.
