Speculation re. New Rolling Stock

I was just checking LSAH US for train cars (rolling stock) and discovered that only one set is available. The two cars listed include the Green Passenger Wagon (10015) - (still available), and the High Speed Train Car (10158) that is sold out.

I think this is really a good indication that Lego may be offering some new rolling stock soon. Some might say that this is perhaps just wishful thinking on my part, but with existing stock depleted, we may be seeing some new sets soon. Keep your fingers and your tracked crossed. *y*

I seriously hope they will offer something new soon. Both the Green passenger wagon and the TTX were on sale this summer in the US (I bought 2 green wagons thru a friend , the TTX was already sold out after a day ). Ihope they will release something that will actually be avail in shops.

I would really like to see some separately sold wagons like the beautiful ones from the early nineties with the yellow tractor on top or the octan wagon with the two combustions.

But the disappearing of some kind of sets do not have to mean that there will be new ones soon to follow: the monorail train also disappeared long ago.

I would also caution equating lack of sets to the idea of new sets coming soon.

Remember, LEGO has discussed eliminating 9v trains altogether. And on LEGO's website, in the train FAQ, it explicitly says that LEGO recommends only pulling two wagons with the RC Passenger Train and 4 cars with the RC Freight train, the same number of cars included in those respective sets.

And LEGO has made the decision, so far, that 9v sets are now under the jurisdiction of the (incredibly overpriced) LEGO Factory.

No, I won't be expecting any future 9v cars, locomotives, or sets once S@H sells out of what they have to offer. Not that I wouldn't welcome them, of course.

I hope you are right... Lego have not been very clear on their plans for trains. From the top 25 lists on S@H they do seem to be selling...

These have been around for a long time. I'm glad to see the BNSF and the Christmas Train added though. I forget the site, but they also have some really nice renderings of the SFSC and other engines that make great wallpapers/backgrounds. I have the link somewhere.

I also like your signature image HLC. After seeing it, I created one for myself but I too need the BNSF as well as the 9V Cargo Train.

Here's what I have so far:

Ver nice brickster, but you should put the club car in the middle of your train :). The Idea is to show your trains exactly as they drive around.

Well they release the UTB set didn't they, that is a start. (although I still have to buy it :) )
