Following the WIP here comes the final island with peoples on it

The island is modular : cave, bar, weapon room and roof/beacon

The beacon is here to lure innocent ship to the pirates lair, it have removable flags of course ;)

I represent an bluecoat expedition to take the lair from the beach, with a commando team for the roof.

Let’s have a look on the difference levels.

The cave

Has seen in the WIP, it’s a part I did earlier, using LDD to do some rocks and beaches test, then dit the thing with my stock in front of me. BURPs (hidden behind bottle and big chest) helped me to have a minimum high and keep plates together

I hid a canon to destroy unwanted ships who wanted to dock.

Bar

I did all the level on LDD, with later changes to the bar, and add some lights

We had a little live on this and we get a pirate crew unaware of current danger…

Except the cook who’s hunting rats (for the stew? ;) )

Weapon room.

It was the hardest level for me. I did all the exteriors on LDD, but was stuck for the inside (I wanted to do a common sleeping room). Then I get the idée of a passage for other rooms (not on the MOC) and the roof.

Here the commando leader meet the first defense.

I had some fun on the furnitures, and did a more luxury color code, pirates need to spend there loot !! :)

The roof

I wanted to test a brickbuild door, but still need to improve, it’s a bit difficult to open.

The beacon was fun to build, I took all my flamme pieces and look how they connect together ;)

Very nice, looks cool, nice and solid. It is almost too "perfect" looking on the outside, at least for a Pirate hideout. Its almost like it was an Imperial Fort that was taken over by Pirates. Was this your idea when making this, that it was an Imperial fort taken by Pirates?

Cool. That's a good looking fort with lots of play possiblities. Well done. I think you have a bluecoat infestation on the island. Better call in the exterminators.

The Interior is really awesome. But I agree with Dunedain, it looks like a former Imperial fort that the pirates captured.

Its a heck of a nicer home then what my pirates get. My pirates only have rock island refuge... Yours have an awesome fort!

very detailed. I like the colors you choosed. I hope the pirates will kill the blond haired soldier, he reminds me to a famous musician.

All togehter: Your Moc is just great!

Wow this is fantastic.

Beautiful and completely in your own style. Great!

I love all the details and will immediately scrap my island fortress (or maybe not).

How long did it take to complete this masterpiece?

Attacking monkey is noted !! +1

I'm not too fond of the basic water, but that fort... Absolutely no complaints. Amazing work! :pir-classic:

I haven't touch the water part since I started the projet, except adding a some round 1X1.

I also need to change the sand to some dark tan?

I've try some things in the building, but my skills lend me to that direction.

I like your point of view of a take over fort ;)

I start the project ealry march with my LDD test. So the all project took me a big month.

For now, it's my biggest project, and took me a lot of my stock :'(

Sorry for the late reply... :pir-blush: You could, it might add a bit to the scene, but I don't think it is necessary. Edited by Graham Gidman

I certainly wasn't expecting this when I viewed the WIP thread. It looked good then but in completed form it's fabulous. The size, shape, architecture and colors are all unique which makes for a memorable design. You've crammed a lot of detail into a relatively small footprint. I especially like the top section with all its various components. The water seems pretty basic but that's fine; standard SNOT water is overrated anyway and in this form you could set it up with standard sets and the water at least would match. The cook surprised me; I never would have thought to use him for a pirates build. Maybe he was pressed into service, or maybe the pirates stole the outfit from a victim who didn't live to tell about it. Very good project overall.
