Sandy Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 "So the mythril is disappearing somewhere between the mines and the depot! Doesn't this prove it, Dumora?"
Waterbrick Down Posted August 28, 2015 Author Posted August 28, 2015 "So the mythril is disappearing somewhere between the mines and the depot! Doesn't this prove it, Dumora?" The vindicator looks frustrated though not at the party. "Well it's obviously not arriving at the depots. We should get a better idea of how big the problem actually is."
Jebediahs Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 "Well I haven't made it to Brumpknob or Krumpknob in a while. We've been too busy here with the mythril boom. Not sure where your getting your information from, stranger." Nur looked towards his questmates. "Then it seems I am mistaken. Are the mines open to the public?"
Waterbrick Down Posted August 29, 2015 Author Posted August 29, 2015 Nur looked towards his questmates. "Then it seems I am mistaken. Are the mines open to the public?" "As long as you stay out of the way of the work and don't try and steal anything I think you'll be fine."
Jebediahs Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 "Thank ye for the chat." Nur walked passed the miner by the rockling's shop to the Tavern.
Waterbrick Down Posted August 29, 2015 Author Posted August 29, 2015 Nur ducks inside the cozy tavern. Workers are enjoying their time off as a gnome bartender serves drinks all around. "Give up, pipsqueak, I've got a *hic* iron stomach." "That must be all you've got left 'cause you're storing all the extra liquid in your head." "Just let me know when you're ready for another round, boys."
Jebediahs Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 "Greetings, Miss. What 'ave ye on the menu?" Nur turned to the patron holding the red cup. "'Ello. Didn't I just see you outside? You seem to possess the solo red cup. Is it your personal cup?"
Waterbrick Down Posted August 29, 2015 Author Posted August 29, 2015 "Greetings, Miss. What 'ave ye on the menu?" Nur turned to the patron holding the red cup. "'Ello. Didn't I just see you outside? You seem to possess the solo red cup. Is it your personal cup?" "I've got a full bar, feel free to ask for anything. There's a few house specials: Let me get these two gentlemen their next drinks first." So saying the gnome refills the dwarf and goblin's drinks. Orrik's Beard Menu: Pickled Mushroom - Unknown Effect. Costs 25 gold Chicken Drumstick - Raises maximum health by 1 permanently. Costs 50 Gold *5 available* Big Apple - Permanently raises attack power by one. Costs 50 Gold. *5 available* Dwarven Rum - The favorite drink of any common dwarf miner, giving it to them makes them your friend. Costs 5 Gold. "Nope, just polishing off this fine Mead."
Jebediahs Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Jeesh. Someone with coin could really clean up nicely on this quest. Nur reached for his 31 gold... "I'll take three Dwarven Rums please." He quickly patted the bar in a rhythmic pattern. "Do they do this often?"
CMP Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 (edited) Atramor lowered his voice to the rest of the party. "When Nur finishes up in the bar we ought to go down into the mine, see if anythin' is fishy 'round and see just how much Mythril they're really diggin' up. Don't make any sense that nobody's caught onto this..." Edited August 30, 2015 by CallMePie
Sandy Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 "Yes, it's about time we finally solve this mess."

Jebediahs Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Nur chuckled nervously. "Oh heh heh. I won't be one of the joiners this day. Thank you." En Sabah Nur returned to his friends to head down to the next level of Frumpknob.
Waterbrick Down Posted August 31, 2015 Author Posted August 31, 2015 QM Note: Just to clarify, is the Party interested in going down one level to the smelting area or two to the mines?
Waterbrick Down Posted September 1, 2015 Author Posted September 1, 2015 The party finds one of the many slides and makes their way down to the lowest level of the city. Smoke greets the heroes as they note a gigantic drill on fire.
Jebediahs Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Nur frowned as he slid to the bottom. He strained his neck to see as many sights as he could. Who knows when he'd return to this underground realm. He took a step forward towards the miners. "Greetings. I am En Sabah Nur, accomplished mage and trained emergency responder and fire fighter. Do I have your permission to assist you with this blaze?"
CMP Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Atramor doesn't bother awaiting permission and immediately summons an enormous Aquaphant (Aquatic 6) to spew gallons of water all over the fire.
Sandy Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 "What happened here?" Ellaria asked worriedly as her companions rushed to put out the fire.
Peppermint_M Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 "Should we be making haste to give chase?" Tesni looked about the area, trying to spot any fleeing assailants.

Ellaria asked worriedly as her companions rushed to put out the fire. "Ether overload on the power-cell. Phew that was a close one, another few moments and we it would have consumed nearly all the air in here. Thank you for your help." "Should we be making haste to give chase?" Tesni looked about the area, trying to spot any fleeing assailants. Tesni glances around but only notes people running to the fire to assist and not away from it. Jebediahs Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 "Your asking permission to put out a fire? Gah, out of the way." "Of course. I do not want to be held liable for any possible water damage..." Nur commented to the back of the dwarf's head as he ran away to quell the fire. "Is the drill new, like an experimental prototype or is a power cell overloading a somewhat common occurrence with your equipment?"

I'm Sarat, supervisor of the Enervated Excavators and you folks all are?"

I am Ellaria Arbour of Heroica, like my comrades, and we have come here to investigate the acclaimed mythril shortage. I have here a document from the High Chief himself, giving his blessing on our research. Upon arriving to Frumpknob, it has been brought to our attention that the mythril is nowhere near of running out of the mines, yet precious little of it make it to the other cities. What are your thoughts about this matter?"
CMP Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 "Aye, the people on the levels above don't seem to have any shortage of the stuff, but ya' can't say the same for your other cities down here. It's affectin' the outside world at this point, even."
