Waterbrick Down Posted July 7, 2015 Author Posted July 7, 2015 (edited) En Sabah Nur attempts to rely on his charming diplomacy. "I assure you that as a first time visitor to this city I merely wished to the see the sights Brumpknob has to offer and am unaware of the disreputable areas I should avoid. I too believe a strong weapon is key to a successful defense especially since dwarven craftsmanship greatly surpasses that of the surface artisans to which I am accustomed." Nur's words seemed to soften the Dwarf a little. "Disreputable is right. I suppose if you've seen the error of your ways... The categories are: Blunt weapons: Clubs, Hammers, Maces, Staves, Wands, Whips Ranged weapons: Bows, Broomsticks, Crossbows, Handcannons, Instruments, Throwing Weapons Sharp weapons: Axes, Daggers, Greatswords, Halberds, Lances, Longswords, Scythes, Spears This service costs 150 gold. Living Steel Upgrade: An alloy of molten metal imbued with Dwarven runic magics is infused to the weapon imparting it with remarkable power. The WP of the imbued weapon increases by 1 after every successful hit and resets at the end of the Quest. Costs 250 Gold Upgrade equipment (+1 point): Any weapon can be upgraded with this service, adding one point to its power per upgrade. Each upgrade costs the amount of WP the weapon has after the upgrade times ten. For example, when a Sword (WP: 3) is upgraded to a Sword (WP: 4), it costs 40 gold. When an Axe (WP: 6) is upgraded to an Axe (WP: 7), it costs 70 gold. You can also upgrade the SP of shields this way. You can order several upgrades for your weapon or shield, but the costs will stack. For example, upgrading a Mace (WP: 3) to a Mace (WP: 5) will cost {40 + 50 =} 90 gold. Merge equipment with an elemental gem: You need a weapon and an elemental gem for this service. Merging the gem will give the weapon the elemental attribute of the used gem, but the gem itself will not be available to use anymore. A shield can be equipped with a gem as well, granting immunity to the respective element. This service costs 50 gold. The merging can be undone to get the gem back, but it will cost another 50 gold. Multiple gems can be imbued into one weapon or shield, but they all need to be merged separately. Mythrilize equipment (+10 points): You need a weapon or a shield and some Mythril Ore, which is a very rare item, for this service. Forging the equipment with Mythril Ore will increase its power by ten points, but the ore will be expended. This can only be done once to any piece of equipment, and it will be renamed with the "Mythril"-prefix. An adamantine weapon or shield cannot be mythrilized. This service costs 100 gold. Adamantize equipment (+25 points): You need a weapon or a shield and some Adamatite Ore, which is an incredibly rare ancient item, for this service. Forging the equipment with Adamatite Ore will increase its power by twenty-five points, but the ore will be expended. This can only be done once to any piece of equipment, and it will be renamed with the "Adamantine"-prefix. A mythril weapon or shield cannot be adamantized. This service costs 250 gold. "What do ya think?" "Too bad. But I have an appointment with the High Chieftain tomorrow, so I will deliver these news to him personally. Take care, Miss Clarissa, and I would still suggest that you cover that hole as soon as possible." She then walked away from the room to return to the receptionist. "Are you coming with me, Atters? And Mr. Metasimian? I have to say, I did consider jumping down the hole to chase the dark dwarf, but with my limited resources and a dozen other tasks to accomplish, it would most likely have been a waste of time. We need to reunite with the others, too, before we get too involved with dark conspiracies." When they reached the entrance hall, Ellaria presented the documents and the genealogies to the attendant. "I believe this should be everything required to accept Mr. Thisbeen's ashes. I would like to add that I just saved your archivist from dark dwarven infiltrators, so I expect that to speed things up." That time Ellaria didn't even have to pretend haughtiness, she was that irritated by having to run fool's errands. "If it's all the same to you, I'll remain here with Clarissa." The metasimian looked for a sign of approval from Atramor. The attendant shuffled through the paper work with a haughty expression on his face. "Hmmm... Everything appears to be in order. Very well, you can be assured the remains will be taken care of with the utmost respect." Edited July 9, 2015 by Waterbrick Down

Will you stay as our guide until we return to Miss Thisbeen, or what?"

Peppermint_M Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 "Well, for now I'm not carrying 'owt to put it on. Maybe I should purchase another weapon here..." Tesni looked at the wares the shop carried, the greatsword was tempting.

"Sounds good, come see me again once ya've got the job done." Nur returns to Samwerk's Bakery accompanied by Figgle. "Ah, prodigal son returns. Figgle is too late, Samwerk has decided to hire new delivery boy. Figgle can go home and think of poor life choices." "But..." "Please sir, he won't do it again." "No, Samwerk's decision is final." The Dwarves looked at Nur appealingly.

You two should consider looking at the situation through his eyes just as you, Samwerk can empathize with the daily difficulties Figgle faces as your people are still being regularly persecuted on the surface world." Room farthest from the door, no windows if ya'...usually have those down there. Separate room for the ladies if ya' can. And ya' can list that under Ratabor of Pandemia. Thanks mate." Ellaria gave Atramor 10 gold for her share. "Oh, I didn't think Dumora would be staying the night with us. We will have to ask her when she gets here." She then walked over to the other counter, with the cyclops hostess. "Good afternoon, ma'am! Is there any chance you served tea here? Also, I do love my share of gossip, so if you have any to part with, I would love to hear that while sipping my hypothetical tea."
Waterbrick Down Posted July 11, 2015 Author Posted July 11, 2015 "Room for five it is then. Fell free to mill about the place, pig's free for anyone staying, room's are upstairs near where you came in." As Ellaria makes her way over to the bar the group is joined by Nur and Tesni. Also, I do love my share of gossip, so if you have any to part with, I would love to hear that while sipping my hypothetical tea." "You'll have to give me a moment to put a kettle on, Miss." The cyclops moves over to the burning hearth and hangs a tea kettle. "Hmmm... gossip, aye? Well they say the mines are all drying up what with price increases and everything down here, can't be good news. Cogs and Company are boasting a new machine that can drill further and farther than anything before though, pity it was stolen a few weeks back. Fodmin and Odmin, the local smiths celebrated their respective birthdays today, quite a bit of partyin' I hear is planned for the night. Lot of stories about a scarlet worm infestation around the tunnels between here and Krumpknob, had a chap in here the other day who says he was nearly eaten alive. Golems are always a bit of an issue, but the city guard does a pretty good job of keeping them at bay. How long are you and your group in for?" The naga at the bar sipped her goblet silently, but remained present simply listening.

Ellaria said, despite not having a clue about half of the things the Cyclops talked about. She waved for her party mates to gather around and listen. "We heard about a Scarlet Worm in Krumpknob, the rockling said it was the largest he had ever seen. It attacked the mythril depot, for some reason. Maybe the worm is the reason why the mines are drying up? Did you hear that Dark Dwarves raided the archives in the Glittering, yet? I was there, and saw everything. One of them got away with a detailed map of the underground. Maybe the Dark Dwarves stole the drill, too? We also encountered some hostile golems when we were passing Mycenia. Can you tell us how the whole issue with golems started?" Ellaria then dug into her purse. "How much for the tea?" OoC: Please, everyone, chime in if you have more information or clarifications. It's been such a long quest with so many nuances that I'm starting to forget many of the details. We need to get everything sorted out before venturing on, or we'll be running around the underground like headless chickens for the rest of our quest.
