Samolot Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I do not know if anyone has come up with that before, but with the new item 18654 I made a very small and relatively strong clutch. I think it may be useful in small models. Quote

I think it may be useful in small models. This was possible with the existing round pin joiner, but now the clutch is one stud shorter. Nico71 uses a similar clutch in his braiding machine. Quote
darsedz Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 It"s a safety clutch, transmits a small amount of torque...And works fine... only heat generated can limit it applications Quote
Graydingo Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 I used a similar device in my impala prototypes and I got the idea from Sariel's book, in which he refers to it as a linear clutch. You can also replace one side with a friction pin if you need less clutch. So there are a variety of strengths achievable with this setup. Quote
