Hive Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 The 2015 Pirates theme, which has just been released in most countries as well as on lego.com, is nowhere to be found in retail stores in Denmark (ironically) - nor does it appear in the catalogue for the first half year of 2015. Is it for some reason scheduled for release in the second half of 2015 or won't it show up at all? Quote
Sinthoras Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 (edited) You could order here, if you don't want to wait a few weeks before they show up on shelves: http://shop.lego.com...Pirates-ByTheme Also I haven't seen them in local retail stores either, except in the LEGO store in Munich Pasing. Hive Posted March 14, 2015 Author Posted March 14, 2015 I tried contacting LEGO about the issue, but they just brushed me off with a non-answer. Quote
Itaria No Shintaku Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 In Italy, you can just order them from S@H, but no pirates in shops. Quote
jonwil Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 It seems like there are an increasing number of cases where themes don't get released in a certain country for various reasons. Some countries have skipped specific CMF series for no good reason and IIRC there was at least one space theme a few years back that never saw a UK release. Thankfully Australia seems to get just about all of the product LEGO makes (as far as I know the only normal retail release of 2014 Australia didn't get was the X-Men set) Quote
dr_spock Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 It's the same with cameras like the Canon M3. I guess LEGO sets decisions are made at the country level by the country's branch office also. Why is the EOS M3 not available in the American market? I’m speaking for Canon Inc. The global headquarters. We offer a full lineup of products from compacts to mirrorless and DSLRs. We offer this full lineup to our sales and marketing divisions in each region. They decide which products they want to introduce into the market, so the decision not to launch the EOS M3 in America falls to Canon USA, not Canon Inc. I’m saying “sell it!” but it’s their decision whether they want to or not. Quote
Hive Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 I wish they'd at least give us information on the matter. Can't they do that much for their loyal fanbase? Quote
