Ok so we are going to have a MOC off like Sinner and Hinckley are doing. I made this thread cause there are no 3-way PMs. So guys what sets can we use in this build off? I was thinking Mars Mission with Mr. M but Sir may not have them. So lets get some ideas flowing. Also the community may tribute ideas too. I blame Hinckley. :-P

Rules:

1. We'll have 2 weeks from tomorrow to build.

2. It begins now.

3. When we're done we'll PM the pics to SW4J and when he PMs you back that he has it saved we will take the pics out of Brickshelf accounts.

4. Take your time and have fun!

5. The winner can pick an avatar and for both of the other losers and keep it for a week.

6. You cannot vote for yourself!! >:-( Honor-system here.

7. Only one of each set.

8. The winner will also PM *yoda* the new title for the losers and have it for a month.

I don't have any Mars Mission sets yet, either. Why don't we do a mix of Mars and Castle? We'll probably have to do some ordering on S@H, though, because my local stores are lagging. |-/

Do you live in the US? I do so we can have a mix if its ok for Sir N. But for the record all the sets we use cannot pass the $100 mark so lets pick some small sets.

Im ok with those. What should the model be based on? i.e. Land? Flying?

Believe it or not, I own every castle set, and MOST of the mars mission ones. I wouldn't want to break them, cause they look so nice on display, so I suggest we pick some cheap sets, maybe a few $10 ones, and/or a $20 set and some $5-$10 sets. I will browse Shop@Home now, but my local TRU's are carrying the new sets, so I can easily get them.

EDIT: These would be good if we are sticking to Mars Mission/ 07' Castle.

I've edited my first post to a list of cheap ones. Should we pick 2 or 3? Maybe 2 of each theme?

Should we broaden the list, i.e. city theme/star wars theme, etc.?

Ok. We will use the small one. What was it? Crossbow Attack? And to the Starwars4J issue lets just create a new brickshelf folder to host the images.

First I need to order the sets. :-D There is a sad lack of new sets where I live.

I think catapult defense is a must, as is ETX alien strike, becuase they both have a lot of parts that will be helpful to build with. Still not sure about anything else.

EDIT: I like the four you have, but let's change the Crossbow attack to the Final Joust.

What is the "Starwars4J issue" ?!

Thats why there is a 2 weeks max thing. We will PM Starwars4J our entries and then SW4J has to PM you back and then you have to take them out of your brickshelf.

EDIT: Nothing. Accually I dont want to change. The sets we have now are good. Do you want to be able to afford the Star Wars sets?

I really think we should use these four:

That way we have both $4.99 of MM and Castle, and both $19.99 of MM and castle. That way there is an even number of Castle pecies and Mars Mission peices. What you do think?

Thanks for giving in, I'm as stubborn as a mule! :-D ;-) But I do think that the MOc should be able to be anything, either a land based moc, or a vechile, or a little vechile and a little base. That way we can have free rein on what to build, you know what I'm sayin'?
