Wobo Ihi Posted July 25, 2007 Author Posted July 25, 2007 (edited) Next they will come up with Bath-ship (spacecraft) !! :-D And the Batbat! The Batcycle has been around for a long time; I just don't like the new name... or the design... Edited July 25, 2007 by Wobo Ihi Quote
Grand Moff Viceroy Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 The new one does suck, the design looks modern but I get your point. Next to a regular cycle it will kick its butt. I like the idea of Bat-bat, i'll be a sponsor to the company who designs it! :-D Quote
Siegfried Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 Well I didn't like the car at first and now I love it so I will withhold my judgement. I am more scared by the line... The gauntlets had their razors made retractable and able to be fired. That sounds more like Azbat than Batman... :'-( Quote
Grand Moff Viceroy Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 Never heard of him bfore I searched him up, he is a bad guy. Quote
Siegfried Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 Never heard of him bfore I searched him up, he is a bad guy. Exactly my point. Quote

Brainbox Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 Never heard of him bfore I searched him up, he is a bad guy. Exactly my point. Not really. He became the 'avenging angel' for the Order of St Dumas, but then betrayed them and left. He became a hero working as a Bat-ally. When Batman was broken (literally), Azrael took over the mantle. He became increasingly violent, and more than a little bit mad. He fired Robin (locking him out the Batcave), and dispensed his own version of justice. Then Batman defeated him and reclaimed his mantle. Then Azrael set about tracking down all the remaining members of the Order, becoming a bit of a hero again. He is currently presumed dead, although his body has never been found... But I don't really like him. :-D I actually quite like the Bat-pod. Sure it's different, but so was (is) the Tumbler. Look how cool that turned out to be! >:-) Quote
Siegfried Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 Not really. Well, believe it or not, I agree 100% with your summary! I was a bit busy yesterday and didn't have time to write a better reply; thanks I couldn't have done better myself. Ultimately though my point was that if they go down that path it isn't really Batman, but I will reserve my judgement until I see the movie. I didn't mind the last one, but I would have like it better if they removed all of the ninja stuff. Quote

They're in the comics too, you know. What I didn't like about BB was the Rachel Dawes character they created for the film. They could've just used Vicki Vale or Selina Kyle... Yes, I realise that, but Batman is a detective first, fighter second. They aren't called "Detective Comic" for nothing. Focusing on him learning some sort of ninjitsu as the final and most important part of his training is completely missing the character. What I didn't like about BB was the Rachel Dawes character they created for the film. They could've just used Vicki Vale or Selina Kyle... I agree. I hated that character. The actor was wrong as well; she was way too young to be an assistant DA. She would be to young to even be his clerk... Edited July 27, 2007 by Sinner Quote
Brainbox Posted July 27, 2007 Posted July 27, 2007 What do you have against ninjas? They're in the comics too, you know. Heck, recently we've even had Ninja Man-Bats >:-) They're actually the League of Assassins, which is probably what you're refering to. Yes, I realise that, but Batman is a detective first, fighter second. They aren't called "Detective Comic" for nothing. Focusing on him learning some sort of ninjitsu as the final and most important part of his training is completely missing the character. Most important and final? No. Important? Yes. Batman's always divided equal time to brains and brawn, so neither is more important. He's possibly the best martial artist in the world, being closely followed by Connor Hawke, Cassandra Cain and Lady Shiva. And he's in 'competition' with Lex Luthor as the cleverest, with Mr Terrific coming a close third. Quote
Wobo Ihi Posted July 28, 2007 Author Posted July 28, 2007 (edited) Update! New site: whysoserious.com EDIT: And a new picture of the Joker. Sweet. Edited July 28, 2007 by Wobo Ihi Quote
Siegfried Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 Most important and final? No. Important? Yes. I disagree, but that's life I suppose! Quote
Brainbox Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 (edited) EDIT: And a new picture of the Joker. Sweet. Interesting. A new look, but still instantly recogniseable. I disagree, but that's life I suppose! Without his martial arts Batman wouldn't be Batman. Similarly, like you said, he needs his brains. He needs both to be the character we know and love. Wobo Ihi Posted July 28, 2007 Author Posted July 28, 2007 (edited) From what I can tell by the new picture, it seems that in the DK, Joker's skin didn't turn white after his chemical bath; he's just wearing make-up. :-/ Edited July 28, 2007 by Wobo Ihi Quote

Like I said it's a new direction. Still, I'll reserve jusdgement till I see the film. Quote
Starwars4J Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 I have to say, I love the way his laugh is so close to the Mark Hammil laugh (best joker ever) Also, in case you didn't see: http://www.ibelieveinharveydent.com Followed up by: http://www.ibelieveinharveydenttoo.com Highlight the page- between the "HAs", pick out the letters; they spell "See you in December." Siegfried Posted July 29, 2007 Posted July 29, 2007 Without his martial arts Batman wouldn't be Batman. Similarly, like you said, he needs his brains. He needs both to be the character we know and love. I tend to see Batman as 75% brains, 25% brawn. From what I can tell by the new picture, it seems that in the DK, Joker's skin didn't turn white after his chemical bath; he's just wearing make-up. :-/ Yes I noticed that. Another thing for me to reserve judgement on... :-P Quote

Ok, now i'm alittle rusty when it comes to my batman, but i don't get it. :-/ Wasn't Harvey Dent 2 face? So isthis going to show how he turns into 2 face? Also,i don't get the joker page? I'mguessing the joker is going to be one of them? Also, has anyone found the trailer for The Dark Night that was in the simpsons movie? Quote

I heard somewhere a while ago (so it could've changed) that this next film would focus on the Joker, and introduce Harvey Dent. Then the third film would show Harvey Dent become Two-Face at the Joker's trial. Also, has anyone found the trailer for The Dark Night that was in the simpsons movie? There wasn't a trailer for TDK with the Simpsons when I went today. Quote
5150 Lego Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 There wasn't a trailer for TDK with the Simpsons when I went today. I didn't see it since i got to the movie late, but a couple buddies said there wasone. It showed a van going though a dark alley, and then it panned to its side, and it had the Jokers face on the side. Then it said "The dark night returns summer 08!" Can't find it on line though. Quote
