LeocornoProductions Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Hello all I couldn't hold in my delight when I came across a teaser trailer from osuharding1 for crowkillers new supercar. You must see it at once. Here is a link: As far as we know it is a police edition supercar, it boasts a v10 engine I think or it my be a flat 10. It might be motorized, but I can't tell. Instructions will be available soon from crowkillers, and a possible review from osuharding1. The design is so attractive, and crowkillers has captured that true mid engine look. If it is motorized, I'm sure it will be controlled via sbrick. Scale looks around 1:10 thereabouts, the car reminds me of a dtm car, eventhough dtm cars are front engine. One of the highlights of this truely awesome moc, is that it uses a 4 speed gearbox, actually planted in the rear of the car, so its realistic. But what sets this gearbox apart from his previous gearboxes, Is that he uses the new 2015 gears from the le mans 24 hour racecar set: The new gear selectors that are 3 studs long. More info will follow soon, but if you know any further info, feel free to share them, and express your thoughts on this striking supercar.
Lipko Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 I saw the model on Brickshelf, it's awesome, but I think you should have waited until Crowkillers himself makes a topic about it.
LeocornoProductions Posted February 9, 2015 Author Posted February 9, 2015 I'm sorry I couldn't wait, but this is just a speculation topic really, on what this model might feature and such.
DrJB Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 (edited) You simply can't build that car. There are only 2x BLUE 19L flex axles for sale on BL, in the whole world. Over the past 3 months, 48 were sold. Someone was planning this all along. Edit: Read below, somehow this was perceived with a very negative connotation. None implied. Edited February 9, 2015 by DrJB
Meatman Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 I just seen pics of it on Brickshelf. It is pretty amazing. I absolutely love this shot. Very creative. You simply can't build that car. There are only 2x BLUE 19L flex axles for sale on BL, in the whole world. Plenty of sets they come in though. Jet Wasp -> 8444
DrJB Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Nice car, and, looking at the positive side: No one will complain that the blue 3L pins are sticking out.

IMO it actually looks better EDIT: Oh, and absolutely awesome looking model! I suspect it uses the transmission setup Paul showed us earlier, where the actual gearbox is behind the seats, operated by some kind of linkage? Edited February 9, 2015 by D3K

That represents purchases that you have made for that product... I had 2 of them in my inventory and bought 2 of them from a seller here in the States.. If I bought them all up, then there would be a blue mark next to each one that I bought... Anyone else have any conspiracy theories to share..? Unreal... Edited February 9, 2015 by Paul Boratko

Great looking car, by the way
LeocornoProductions Posted February 9, 2015 Author Posted February 9, 2015 Is there anything you would like to reveal about the car, because I am eager to know more about it.
Meatman Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Sorry, I never implied whatever it is (I think) you understood. In these times of 'political correctness' one needs to remain quiet. Your comment does sound like you are implying that "someone" bought up all of the blue axles as a plan to monopolize them. So who is this "someone" that you were talking about that had it planned all along? I would interpret that comment the same way that Paul did.
nerdsforprez Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 There are consistent complaints on here of DrJB's comments/reactions to others' comments Paul. Don't sweat it. His comments don't reflect the majority of the forums'. For what its worth, not only are the comments that Paul refers to: "You simply can't build that car. There are only 2x BLUE 19L flex axles for sale on BL, in the whole world. Over the past 3 months, 48 were sold. Someone was planning this all along" a conspiracy theory and inappropriate, but his comments: "Nice car, and, looking at the positive side: No one will complain that the blue 3L pins are sticking out" are a lousy attempt to save face. to say "looking at the positive side" by pointing out a flaw "blue 3L pins sticking out" is disingenuous at best.
jantjeuh Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Love the colour scheme! Great work as usual, Paul! Hope to see it pop up soon @ Rebrickable.
LeocornoProductions Posted February 9, 2015 Author Posted February 9, 2015 People do that to me, but then try and tell me that I hope it isn't rude. So that is hysterically hypocritical :\
nerdsforprez Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Sorry, I never implied whatever it is (I think) you understood. In these times of 'political correctness' one needs to remain quiet. BTW..... I love how he incites other's anger and then acts innocent or naive about knowing that he offended, like it's others' fault for being offended. He uses quotes ALOT (making fun at appropriate social behavior) ....his 'political correctness' statement is finger pointing at others.... a criticism of others being offended so easily.... sorry, rant done... but some of DrJB's behavior on here is getting wearrisome....
LeocornoProductions Posted February 9, 2015 Author Posted February 9, 2015 Like I said, many people have done that before, but now it has been finally noticed. And the people that normally do it are naive as well, so like I said that's hysterically hypocritical of you mate.
Osuharding1 Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Seems to me that etiquette would suggest that the model designer would post a topic on their new model. While I created the video, it was a collaborative effort between Paul and myself. He and I discussed the option of posting the video here and we agreed to wait. Regardless, the topic is now out. Let's all please focus the discussion on the fantastic looking model.
weavil Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Still 12 sold so far this month of the blue.....
Meatman Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Still 12 sold so far this month of the blue..... Actually looks like 20.
Rishab N Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 (edited) Another masterpiece. I was planning to build the phantasm ,but now another white supercar comes along Decisions decisons Edit:Not implying they look similar as they look completely different. Just have a limited supply of white parts in my collection Edited February 9, 2015 by Rishab N
Blakbird Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 I'd take it as a serious compliment, that someone believes you have that amount of influence over the AFOL community. Well, actually Crowkillers, Sheepo and others do have enough influence on the aftermarket to cause depletion of the world supply of uncommon parts. It has happened repeatedly. However, I am not aware of any such designers intentionally buying up supply and then using rare parts in their MOCs in order to make money. Anyone who has made MOC instructions will know that there isn't any profit in it; it has to be done to serve the community.
Paul Boratko Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Believe me, I absolutely hated the fact that I was using blue flexible axles, but I had no choice.. I wanted to do a Police type vehicle and it just worked, so I went with it.. the only other option was Black and White, but then the 19L black ones are even worse... I think the colors could be switched with a white bottom and blue top(except for some panels) I did the best I could to avoid other rare parts like #4 connectors and 3L pins with stop in white... There are also Two 14L white flexible axles in the rear... Those aren't too bad though...
jantjeuh Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Do you happen to have built a version in black and white? Curious what it looks like.
