Retroshift Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Sometimes, I load a lxf-model but in normal or extended mode it only shows the pieces (on the left to pick from) automatically in one color. I have Windows 8.1. If I close and reopen LDD, it stays the same, one color to pick from. I do not have the "remove filter" option, not in normal mode and not in extended mode. How can I remove this annoying autocolor filter? Thanks! Quote
Retroshift Posted February 6, 2015 Author Posted February 6, 2015 I add a screenshot to make it more clear. This is extended mode. As you can see, there is no "filter bricks by boxes" button and no "remove filter" button in the color pallette. All parts to pick from are in a red color. In normal mode, I do have these buttons and all colors seem to be fine and working. I have Windows 8.1. Quote
Calabar Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 (edited) It is the standard behaviour. The LDD mode contains a subset of bricks and colour, so you can find coloured and decorated brick directly in the palette. Extended mode allows you to apply every supported colour to every available brick. So you have to separately choose the brick and select the colour (through the colour palette you show in the screenshot). You can modify the colour later too, using the colour bucket, and apply a decoration (using the decoration tool) if a decoration is available for that brick. The tools are available in the toolbar at the top center. Filters by box is obviously available in LDD mode only, because it implies an association between brick and colour. You can create your own box palette as explained here. PS: the image above is oversized. Edited February 7, 2015 by Calabar Quote
