3BrickFriends Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 This is my new Lego MOC based on some pieces I received in a Bricklink order: Cows, chicken, green spikes and yellow gems. It is called the 'Fast Food Machine'. I've posted the below video on our Youtube channel which gives a commentary about the MOC. I hope you like it. Mike . Quote
jodawill Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 I love this! It's so very philosophical and silly. I can imagine this is going to be reposted all over Facebook with some claim that it was made by PETA or something, though. Quote
Bornin1980something Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 If you didn't mean to make a statement, then maybe the best satire is unconscious satire, because this is hilarious! All it needs now is the Octan logo - Lord Business would love it! It also reminds me of Chicken Run. Where are those yellow gemstones originally from? Because they make perfect fries! I actually have a fast food themed set (6329 Truck Stop from 1998). It's sign advertises burgers, sausages, and fries, but the only food item was a pizza. I thought it would be impossible to recreate fries in LEGO. you nailed it. Quote
lightningtiger Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 LOL......reminds me of an episode of The Goodies......on farm where all the farmers work is done by processing machines ! Excellent designing there '3BrickFriends'.......Brick On ! Quote
Gongoro73 Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 (edited) Genius. It has a Wallace & Gromit contraption feel to it. And those french fries! Edited January 30, 2015 by Gongoro73 Quote
deraven Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Love it! You've packed a lot of detail into that fairly small MOC, and it all flows together so nicely! And yeah, the yellow crystal as french fries is one excellent thing that the Friends line gave us! (Heartlake Shopping mall - which is the only set those yellow ones come in, and only 1 of them! ) Quote
WarSquirrel Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Great job! I like the way you made it look cartoony and whimsical! Quote
dr_spock Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Neat. Where are the Mr. and Mrs. Potato Heads to make the french fries. Man, I miss real fresh chicken. Quote
ReplicaOfLife Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Gruesome concept, but conceptually this is propably closer to reality than anyone cares to think about. Nice work Quote
3BrickFriends Posted February 1, 2015 Author Posted February 1, 2015 (edited) Thanks Graham Gidman, redtrooper27, Chapachuk, ArchitectureFan, Captain Braunsfeld, Lankygit, RogerSmith, and kermit. I appreciate the nice comments. On 1/30/2015 at 8:33 PM, jodawill said: I love this! It's so very philosophical and silly. I intentionally wanted the burgers to come out the other end of the machine in their buns with sauce and lettuce so it was a little more light hearted. The yellow stones for french fries is an awesome new idea for a piece which has been around for years. Unfortunately I can't take any of the credit because they are from the Heartlake Mall set. I originally had a much longer machine draw up on my notepad but I'm glad I kept it shorter because it balances nicely with the other details. On 1/30/2015 at 11:51 PM, WarSquirrel said: Great job!
