Well, Ava has purple, at least, and Axl has a more orangish shade of yellow anyway.

Thankfully. The plain yellow limbs on the Knights' Kingdom II Rogue Knights and later-series Atlantis divers made them look like they were going bare-armed and legged. A Knight in Ava's colours (post-timeskip/growth spurt or a sibling/cousin?) would be cool, though.

Personally, I think Ava will become a wizard/sourceress or something like that. Some sort of purple robes seem likely for whenever she gets her special uniform. Perhaps they'll decide to make it so that every three years they'll have a new main cast, with the kid appeal characters forming part of the next new team? That way LEGO could prevent theme exhaustion/make it easier for new fans to get into the theme without having to read up on past stories.

Well, Clay uses a dark blue helmet (which is certainly preferable to regular blue). I would hope that a purple knight would wear dark purple rather than the regular purple that Ava wears.

I would love to have the queen in her armor. I imagine, she wields a warhammer. Since her color is blue, she might appear a little bit to similar to Glay, despite having her own crest. I would therefore suggest, to give her transaprent blue shoulderpeaces instead of the usual orange, and maybe making her armor golden, and maybe adding a crown thingy to her helmet. After all, she is a queen, who doesn't hide. So no needs to hide her true colors.

Oh, and so far, we don't have a warhammer wielding knight anyway. ;)

Then we got Ava. A silver/ purple style would fit her very well. I think, if she grows up, she would be a cool battlemage. Clad in armor, but still wielding a staff, with some kind of purple crystal/ gem thingy on the top. Kind of like Warhammer 40k psycers/ librarians.

Other options would be of course new knights, not in the story yet. There I would again absolutely love to have a knight wielding a warhammer. After all, other stereotypical medival weapons are kind of taken.

Queen Halbert's armor is gold with a blue helmet & gold visor (and blue trim among the gold armor print on her torso & legs), and she carries a warhammer (kinda looks like Thor's hammerhead as a separate piece on a longer bar, but the hammerhead also has studs on the ends & top with the new 1x1 pyramid slope in trans-light-blue, I think, on the ends... I've only found the top in a fan art piece, but it seems like a 2x1 version of those new pyramid slopes, unless such a piece exists already and I'm blanking on finding it).

I expect she'll turn up next year maybe?

Ohhh, i didn't watch videos and stuff, I just wanted the bricks so i didn't know that image. Now that's awful. Anyway, I really hope she comes soon. She indeed looks awesome. Simply perfect.

If they don't make a new piece for the hammer. I expect they would use the Chima Hammer fist piece in transparent blue with 2 pyramid slopes on each end.

I don't think they would use a hammer in the first place, too similar to the mace. Maybe a flail would be a good choice?

Yeah, I think the hammer would be used. It's pretty distinct, and having translucent pyramids on it will set it nicely apart from Macy's mace. I'm actually really looking forward to seeing it happen in a set, and how people will use the hammerhead piece elsewhere.

That would be nice. The other Knights are essentially following the "Adeptus Astartes" design ethos already, after all. :classic:

Well, maybe not quite. The flail (which seems analogous to Jay's nunchuku in terms of potential parts usage) is a pretty commonly-seen medieval weapon in modern media, and we don't have anyone wielding one of those yet. As for non-stereotypical weapons, there's always the pike or glaive or halberd (maybe even a small cannon, since we already have a Knight with a crossbow).

Mace Flails were not actually used in medieval times. They simply didn't work. To inflict damage with it, you wou'd have to keep spinning it around and around (hoping it doesn't hit you), and then there is not enough force when it hits someone, because, well because it's a chain. More commonly used were just true maces.

So goes the contention, but not all historians agree, as I understand it. Regardless, the point is that the flail-mace/mace-and-chain is a fairly recognisable weapon associated in the public mind with knights and the Middle Ages, and might be a visually-striking arm for a future Nexo Knight. I don't think we need to bring historical plausibility into it at all, given we've already got two women in armour wielding maces and warhammers, a knight with a crossbow as his primary weapon, and everyone's presumably wearing powered armour anyway.

My problem with flails is, that they either simply dangle around if they have a proper chain, since lego figures are rather static, or probably look silly, like the flails we got in Castle, Kingdoms and Castle II when they have a "solid chain".. making arm positioning difficult (Although, to be fair, the armor impairs the knights poses severly anyway).

A yes to all of that! Ava the as a powerful purple mage would be cool. I really hope to see knights armor and visors in black, gold, gunmetal and other useful colours.

Edit: Found this in the Brickset database, hadn't seen it being posted here:

Yeah, you get it, atleast in Germany in the July, Nexo Knight magazine. Birckset said June magezine.. but in Germany it is definetly July printed on it.

The minifigure does have the Ash Attacker legs and torso and a shooting crossbow. The photo of the minifigure is what you get, the "artwork" is wrong, for whatever reason.

I quite like the fact you get a generic army builder character with a magazine. Hoping they do the same for the King's soldiers, or even the Squirebots.

I'm sure we will NOT get Squirebots as one of them appeared in book, and Magazine "Superprezents" are often (loggicaly) different than the books. I do hope for Scurrier though!
